Count me in for R1. I'm doing the interview and school visit on this 28th (Tue), anybody else visiting on the same day?

Thank you ThomasD and ThrillRide for sharing your interview experiences ... very helpful indeed! Did you guys upload the resume through the scheduling system beforehand or just handed it to the interviewer at the beginning of the interview?

I have one more question about the interview, may be current students can help: Can I use some of the same examples I use in the interview in the essays later? Although the interview is blind, I'm not sure if a summary report (like a matrix of some sort) or a detailed report with all the actual anecdotes is submitted by the interviewer to the admissions committee after the interview. In case of the former, I do want to use some of my strongest stories both in interview and essays but I don't want to be at a disadvantage if it's the latter. Please advise.

you hand them your resume at registration.

My interviewer didn't use a form/template for taking notes during my interview, she took notes on my resume.

What ThrillRide says is true, but I wonder if they have access to your resume before that - correct me if I am wrong - but didn't we submit/upload a resume when we scheduled the interview? I thought I did, may be I am just getting old, but if we did, there is a chance they had access to that beforehand.

I think the scheduling system "recommended" submitting the resume while scheduling the interview. I didn't though, so I guess I'll just hand it to them while checking in.
What I'm curious about is whether the interview report is comprehensive enough to include the precise examples etc. I quote during the interview - just don't want to repeat them in the essays if the adcom is getting that from the interview already.

I am still undecided about duke, the program is fantastic and I would give my right arm,leg,kidney to get into the program. But I am still wondering whether the program would feel the same :-D .

I am a 24 yr old Indian Applicant. GMAT 720 (Q48 V 41) 4 yrs work ex first as a software professional for a large bank and then successfully jumped into Business Analytics within the Bank, handled multi million dollar projects and blah blah, chances of excellent reccos.

Good EC's, Average-good Acads (3.6 GPA approx) ..not many academic awards during undergrad but have loads of awards in EC's during undergrad.

No international work ex..even though have worked with a person from almost every country on earth.

Any chances? because I dont want to waste $$ and time on a college which wont call me. I am trying to focus on the colleges, that would consider me an ideal fit. Super aspirational colleges are something I cant focus on now.

Does the recommendation letter have to answer all the questions specifically or they could be spread out throughout the letter? I am asking this because, since I am applying to multiple schools, I'm guessing my recommender will write one letter and submit it to various schools. Thanks

Hi All,
I just submitted my complete application EA. It's exciting! I did request the application fee reduction as I visited and interviewed last week. I did get an email confirming the reduction to $50, but when I submitted my application I was never asked for payment information. The email confirming my submission also says no word about payment and I do not see anything online either. I am confused and nervous now. Did other people have to pay and if so, when?

^^^ the app took me to a payment site right away before i could officially submit, and I got a receipt right away. I would call them after you make sure you cant pay online once again.

I just spoke to someone in the admissions office (Janice). They have received multiple calls about this and it is a glitch in their application system. If your application reads submitted and you have received their confirmation email then "please accept the free application as a gift from Fuqua"

So nothing to worry about
