Isn't it Dec 19th (1 week from Friday)? Or do they release decisions earlier too?

Yes, sorry, I think of next Friday as the Friday of the next week, not always the next one to happen. Regional colloquialism I suppose. Yes, the 19th.

LOL no that was my fault, I was thinking we were 1 week behind. I should probably go home from work, I'm absolutely no use here anymore!

I assume this was for the early round?

I think this was EA Round stuff. Duke doesn't call, just emails, so I doubt we will see anything until next Friday morning.

Is it just me or is the Fuqua website impossible to use? I couldn't find the admissions section without doing a search!

I agree... the new website is poorly designed. Very frustrating.

It freaks out my browser too. Firefox wants to block practically everything on every page.

Just Bizarre.

I just TODAY got an invite to interview with an adCom over the phone(yes, a week before the decision release date). Naturally I'll be sure to set something up for tomorrow. I really get a whole vibe of them doing a 1-last pass through the apps and saying oh crap this guys' got stuck to someone else's or w/e. Or maybe other international's are also going through this process.

Fuqua, you are officially back in the circle of trust.

Hey, sparky, that's awesome - I'm quite happy for you.

I didn't post before, but I do know that Fuqua is challenged because they get way more requests for alumni interviews than there are alumni in-country. In other words - some alumni groups tend not to return to their home countries, and those are exactly the applicants who make many of the requests. They do what they can to accommodate everyone, but it is difficult.

I'm so glad they found you though!

Am just wondering how many admits did Fuqua release in EA..must be close to 140 factoring in class size (439), yield (50%), last year deferrals, EA's significance. On Facebook, I could find only 25.

Thanks ac, sam, aau, I appreciate it. I honestly did feel when sending out my apps that Fuqua was in many ways the best fit for me so at least I will get to plead my case for that. After some thought I'm going to do the interview Monday, it worked better for the adCom plus it will give me a little more time to prepare. And it will only give me 4 days to second guess how said interview went before the release date :)

Actually, there's a second class of 2011 Facebook group which is closed and looks like it was created by someone in the admissions office. That one has more than 50 members.

AARRRRRRRRRRRGGHHH! This wait is killing me. I know nothing will happen until the 19th yet I can't help but check this forum 20 times a day. I'm going to useless at work for the next 8 days.

As a EA waitlister, I was wondering the same thing. I went to another Fuqua info session recently to ask some WL questions and the adcom said that there they admitted around 75 to 80 applicants in EA. Note that yield does not factor in in EA since it is a BINDING offer (of course, people can still forfeit).

I really hope I can get a final decision on December 19.....

I'd say nowhere near that number. I did some back of the envelope calcs a few months back with IHateTheGMAT (I'm too busy at work right now to rework through this). I'd be surprised if they got more than ~300 apps in EA. Heck, Cornell got 550 apps in Rd 1 this year.

Probably right. I would guess around 200-300. I know Tuck only gets around 150-175 EA apps each year. I doubt Duke is much more than that.

If Tuck only gets about 150-175 each year, then 200-300 may even be a bit high (especially given this is the first year Duke has offered EA).
