I first sent a thankyou email to the interviewer and the admissions committee for considering me for the waitlist. After that, I shared two updates on the portal, both based on meaningful work I had completed. One update was around a project closely aligned with EDGE. Since I had also attended a virtual EDGE event, I explained how that experience and my project background would help me contribute to the EDGE community. The second update focused on my hands-on exposure to mergers and acquisitions, where I led and executed the acquisition of four salt works within my own business covering deal evaluation, negotiations, and integration and how this experience would add practical value to classroom discussions. I was very conscious about not sending updates just for the sake of it so each one was thoughtful, relevant, and genuinely worth their time. They have also offered me a scholarship.
