well i did send an email regarding my status but no response...i did try and give them a call as well...but it reached their voice mail...any suggestions which number should i try ?

I finally got my packet this past weekend. There wasn't much to it. I was a little disappointed, but I can't complain, at least I got it after nearly 4 weeks.

Hi Guys

Congrats to all of you who have recieved final call from Emory. Good School.

I have also applied for Emory in second round, and now my application status in OPUS shows that I have Evaluative Interview pending. I also recieved mail for interview from Emory.

Does anyone of you have got similar response from Emory ?

As far as my profile goes ..I am from India ..with GMAT 700 (50!, 35V, 4AWA) and 5 years of work ex in IT with 2.5 years of international work ex in US

hey...just realized that nothing has ever been updated on my opus account... i.e. when my application was recieved by them , when i recieved an interview call etc. Should it be a reason for concern ?

PS: I am still waiting for my first round decision from them.

I don't think so - I never received any updates via OPUS. The only thing I noticed was that under the "To Do" items, it let me know that one of my recommenders still needed to send in their letter. Other than that, it didn't show any other status changes, etc.

I had done my interview before I sent in my application, so I don't know about the status from OPUS saying that you have an evaluative interview. They interview everyone, so I guess that would be a common update if you haven't yet interviewed.

beyondinfinity, you still haven't received your R1 decision? Was everything in, including recommendations by November 1st, or was there some delay? I would think it should be complete by now.

The packet they sent was just an Emory folder with a legal pad inside that has Emory written on it. Along with the packet came some instructions and guidelines that you get via e-mail anyways, along with an official acceptance letter from the director of admissions. That was it. Everything is pretty much done online from acceptance on anyways, so it wasn't a big shock.

On October 31 i got an official email from Pam Lewis that stated my application was complete.
I was interviewed on December 13 and i have been waiting since then. :wink:

Well i am almost expecting a ding !!!

PS: People say i am too young :-D

Then truly, your entire application was complete on December 13th when you interviewed. I don't think they would start the review process until that date. Thus, it generally takes 4-8 weeks for them to make a decision. You still have plenty of time before you should just assume a ding. If everything else in your app is good, I don't think age would be a factor. But, if other parts are lacking as well, then maybe it could be. Best of luck.

Anyone have an idea of what type of laptop Emory recommends? Do they have a purchase program at the school (if you buy through them, do you get a discount and will their IT department service the laptop if anything happens to it)?

Well meant to post here earlier but ended up posting somewhere else...

arright guys! I'm another emory hopefull. Here are my stats:

GMAT: 640
GPA (BS): 2.9
GPA (MS): 3.6
Years Experience: 12

Other choices: Chicago, Kellogg and may be Michigan (feast or famine economy stinks there though).

I'm local in atlanta so emory may be the natural choice for others I may have to do weekly travel or move there.
Yet to start on my applications though...

Ok, so this is my first gmatclub post... Just found out yesterday that I was accepted to Emory with a full scholarship. So excited! I submitted my app before my interview. Interviewed on 1/15, received an email that my app was complete on 1/16 and a subsequent email with the OPUS login on 1/17 and then received the call/email/OPUS update yesterday.

Thanks, Illusion. Don't mind at all (especially since I scour the message boards for others' profiles):

GMAT - 660
GPA - 3.2 (top liberal arts college)
6 yrs work experience (consulting/healthcare/actuarial science)
Age - 28
American / Multiracial

Since Emory is rolling admissions, I'm not sure there's a set R3. I applied on Jan 5th, but I didnt' get the sense that it was any more rigorous for me than if I'd applied earlier. I actually thought I didn't do that well during the interview last week, so I'm relieved to hear I still managed to make a good impression.
