I'm somewhat confused on the review process - Do adcoms treat these applications differently than the general pool? Do adcoms read the core consortium essays (in addition to the school core essays) as part of its review process? Should I go to the traditional application route? For example, my consortium mission essay is not that strong, albeit some experience. The mission of The Consortium is to enhance diversity in business education and leadership by helping to reduce the serious under representation of African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans in both our member schools' enrollments and the ranks of management. What have you done in your business, academic or personal life to demonstrate commitment to this mission? Please provide specific example of your involvement, actions and results.

I applied to Michigan and also have yet to hear anything. As the Texas acceptance email states, fellowship decisions will be communicated next Friday. I would suspect if Michigan, CMU, or any of the other member schools wanted to offer the fellowship to you, then you will find out in the next 5 days. If not, there is still hope for an acceptance without Consortium membership/fellowship. I am hoping to hear from SC and Michigan before Friday also, as if I don't, that means my chances of becoming a Consortium fellow are toast, since I ranked them 5th!

NYU: Accepted Rd 1 via Standard Application Process
Ross: Interviewed Rd 2 via Consortium, Results pending

I saw on the official website that Brad Rosenwinkel of Indiana said Fellowship decisions are made in "early to mid-March." Does anybody know more about that, since we are now approaching that timeframe?

In received an email last week from Brad Rosenwinkel of Indiana. He said that they will be meeting this week and notifications of memberships and scholarships will be be mailed on March 15th. Although, I have also heard that the notifications would go out sometime next week as well.

Does anybody have any idea for the process for waitlisted Consortium applicants (fellowship and admissions). I happend to be waitlisted at the only school I applied to via the Consortium (Stern).

I have not recieved anything besides an account log-in from NYU Stern.

Has anyone else not received communications from NYU Stern regarding fellowship consideration??

I think the only information we've received so far has been a few interview invites, rejections & WLs. It seems like they are one of the last to notify.

heyyy...i looks like last year a lot of schools didn't give out any decisions until the middle of the 2nd week of March...even USC.

F' it. I'm calling USC and finding out if they saying anything today.

UPDATE:
Called. They said Yes coming out today. However, lady at the desk was unsure how they were going to send out the decisions. (I'm assuming its email rather than a phone call). She also suggested if I don't hear anything by end of the day to contact a Kelly Scott. I'll withhold her email address so she doesn't get spammed. If none of us hear, I'll email her tonight and post her response.
