Well you were required to do an interview for the Consortium right? Some schools find that to be sufficient. I received acceptance from a CGSM program that I did not interview directly with. Not sure about NYU, but I wouldn't count yourself out quite yet.

So, with regard to NYU, if one hasn't yet received an interview invite then one's candidacy is probably pretty bleak at this point :? Is that a safe assumption?

i don't know if that's a safe assumption. remember, you can still be offered admission to a school without the fellowship / admission into the CGSM, so they're not necessarily bound to that march 15th date.

Honestly, it doesn't look hopeful. NYU could waitlist you, but the odds that are admitted based on your consortium interview alone are unlikely. Unless of course, you did your consortium interview with NYU.

NYU Stern is one of the schools that requires a separate, school specific interview:

Quote:

To be admitted to NYU Stern, you must complete both a Consortium interview and a Stern interview. Your Consortium interview does not take the place of your NYU Stern interview.

Hey Y'all. My acceptance to the Consortium was just that. No word on a Fellowship as of yet. I ranked Texas pretty low (5), so my chances of getting a Fellowship are pretty slim. However, I am still hoping USC or Michigan comes through....Sorry for messing up the color codes! :)

So did Joe get word directly from the Consortium?? Or was it through one of the member schools? Also, did they say when they plan to give you a fellowship decision?? And my last question, is the consortium member/fellowship info given over the phone or do we have to wait for an email or letter?

END THE MADNESS, well I guess we're not to the 15th, but the anticipation is getting out of hand.

I've been admitted to The Consortium. Just got paired up with a mentor from the Consortium for Texas, who happens to be an alumnus of the same school that I attended for undergrad. Anyone else receive a similar email? I wonder if I get accepted to another member school, will they provide me with a different Consortium mentor specific to that school...anyone know?

JoeMahmah, are you sure you are not talking about UT pairing you up with a Consortium Fellow alumni? Kelley paired me up with an alumni right after my R1 admit in Jan. He called and e-mailed and we later spoke at length where he graciously answered my questions. When I visited, they also linked me up with a yr-1 Consortium Fellow student. Given that the Consortium meeting is still ongoing in STL, I doubt your pairing is Consortium-specific. It sounds like a UT-initiated mentor pairing.

Hmmm. Perhaps what case2010 is saying is correct. I haven't been paired with an alum, but a 1st year student. She emailed me and congratulated me on being admitted to the consortium.

I'm now guessing the pairing was school specific. What2do15
, Texas will get back to candidates on fri about financial aid info.

I also received a "pairing" with a 1st year student, via email, who welcomed me to the "Consortium Family" at Texas. I do not believe this has any bearing on the fellowship, but rather is just a courtesy they extend to consortium admitees. It would be nice to be proved wrong, though......

Anyone going to the Texas admitted students weekend on April 6th? Sadly, I'll be on my last squadron deployment.

I am anxiously waiting for a call or email from Texas ... but I don't think there is any real news.

I was actually expect a school or two to release decisions this week and I'm a little surprised that none have.

Yeah, I agree. But I guess we'll just have to sit tight until next week. Has anyone heard when Ross is going to spill the beans? Some good news from them will hold me over until fellowship info comes out.

So Wash U mentioned in the acceptance packet that I'd receive fellowship decision by the March 15th deadline. I ranked Wash U #2 and Emory #1 (accepted to both), but Wash U can only decide to offer fellowship if Emory rejects me, correct? I'm thinking I should just call both schools to confirm. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Well from what I understand WashU can only offer you a fellowship if Emory chooses not to offer you a fellowship. But since you ranked WashU #2 i'm assuming they will more likely offer fellowships to those that ranked it first.

Just got a reply from USC.

I'm beginning to assume CGSM wasn't for me. DING!
