I believe they sent it to everyone. Check Soo Jin's Blog. I received it and was admitted, so don't assume its a ding :-)

Thanks again everyone, this day is so awesome. I ranked Ross second, behind NYU. NYU admitted me, but clearly didn't give me the fellowship. I heard a rumor that Ross cut fellowships in half this year, so I am really grateful.

Also, don't know if this matters, but every school I have applied to outside of consortium has waitlisted me(Duke, CBS). I don't really know how to interpret this.

Hi drmang7,

I just discovered this thread today, and I'm in the exact same boat as you (heard from Ross today - in w/ Consortium Fellowship; already heard from Stern, and I ranked Ross second behind NYU). Still waiting to receive my admissions packet from NYU.

Firstly, congratulations!

Secondly, I'm curious to know what you end up deciding to do.

FYI, I met a current Stern student who was admitted to Stern through the Consortium, and while Stern also passed her up for the Consortium Fellowship, she was awarded a different fellowship altogether (i.e., once they pass you up for the Consortium Fellowship, you are placed in the general merit-based aid pool).

Should I completely lose hope? I checked the thread from Ross r1 and seems like all phone calls went out on one day.... I interviewed on Feb 19th... Still haven't gotten a login email... International but live in California.

Oh, I see (sorry, I read your post history, which apparently does not separate quotes).

Regardless, I would definitely not lose hope. They have to convey their decision to you one way or the other, so you will definitely receive communication from them (and it seems like they are shooting for March 15th as their deadline for getting in touch with you, not today). If you don't hear from them by the 15th, I would definitely call them, but I wouldn't lose hope. Each school's admissions process is like a giant black box with all sorts of nebulous processes and decision paths, so we really can't tell one way or the other until they contact us. Besides, you've put in too much hard work (essays, interviews, etc.) to lose hope now :)

I've noticed that this thread/forum can be great for getting an idea of what's going on, what trends are, what kind of people you will be studying with, but it can be hell on wheels once we start hearing that others have received decisions (for better or worse) before we have. Just remember, if you had never found this thread, you would just be waiting patiently (albeit, extremely anxiously) for your decision. Do not be seduced by the dark side of this thread :)

Also, I believe I read in an online chat with Ross that Round 1 volume was lighter this year but Round 2 was looking stronger. They may just have more people to call which they're spreading out over a few days. Don't lose hope!!

Congrats to all the recent admits and fellowships today!

I'm still waiting to hear about anything fellowship related.
