Hi,
I'm actually applying in the Round 3. Would it be any chance that you could share these tips with me? They may be very insightful for me.
Thanks.
Sure...here they are:
We are pleased to see that you have started work on your application to Tuck! With only the April 2, 2010 deadline remaining, we know how daunting getting the last few elements of your application ready for submission can be. There are many things to consider, opportunities to weigh and much soul searching to be done.
One of the most important (and challenging) aspects of any MBA application are the essays. As you consider an MBA essay, keep the following tips in mind:
1. Be authentic. Like many MBA candidates, you may have spent a lot of time seeking out every piece of advice you could find about how to write essays that will get you admitted to the b-school of your dreams. Forget everything you've read or heard! There is no secret formula for essays that get you admitted to Tuck. Reflect on your experiences, your plans for the future and what really motivates you to strive to be better. Tell us stories that we can't forget...even after reading nearly 6,000 essays.
2. Answer the question being asked. Strange piece of advice? Not at all! You might be surprised to know that applicants sometimes get so caught up in the story that they lose sight of the question.
3. Proofread, review, repeat. Applying to business school is not something most of us do more than once, so it's easy to overlook some pretty big mistakes (referring to another school for example). Have someone you trust read your essays.
Hopefully you will find these tips helpful as you put the finishing touches on your application to Tuck. If you have any questions along the way, please do not hesitate to contact us at
