First, I would send the admissions committee a letter, you may need the help of an admissions consultant, explaining your interest in receiving future emails. Second, I would call headquarters of the company/institution involved in providing you with email and demand an apology if your email was blocked. Finally, it's possible the emails come out in waves so be patient.

come on people. Don't lie, but how many of you got excited/scared when you saw an email from Yale?

The newsletter email that is.

This was a big issue last year too. Actually I still get emails from that same email account, and my heart still skips a beat thinking they overlooked me for a 200% scholarship. Alas, it's just an email asking me to apply in the 2nd round.

You should apply, just to see what would happen

Personally, I think Yale is a bit arrogant, or at least their adcom leader is. Not the kind of narrow minded approach I expect to see from a top program. Yes, they rejected me last year, but that's fine. I will just have to buy someone else a school building when I become a B'aire!
I'll call it the "lagomez" wing. It will be a building devoted to comedy. Hey, Darden offers a course in theater for its MBA students. LaGomez should propose a comedy club when he/she arrives on campus!!! You can invite all of the great comedians and apply principles of comedy to organizational behavior or some BS like that!

I appreciate the naming rights but would you mind if I put those rights on Ebay? Just part of them, I want my name and the person who gives me the most, i.e., lagomez/forumaddict school of comedy and divinity

Hey Alll,
First off, a big CONGRATS to Iamnotprimenumber and Dapeople3 for Emory and money 9111 for Cornell!! Those are awesome news!

Second, based off of last year's forum, last year, Friday Feb 26th had lots of admit decisions from UT, Emory, Yale, Kelley and Cornell. Now I admit, that doesn't necessarily mean this will happen tomorrow, but it's interesting, tomorrow may be outright forum pandemonium. Here's to freakin' out on every unknown phone call and checking the forum 10,000 times tomorrow!! Best wishes to everyone!!

I hope so! I'm getting antsy!! Checked the UT site, application still hasn't been loaded :|

I was talking to a rep from Emory about the Consortium Fellowship selection process and turns out it really is like a draft lol. She said that before the meeting, adcom members usually sit down and make a list of candidates they're interested in offering a fellowship to. Once they're all in a room, they have a screen and they go through each applicant one by one (where they can see our admissions, decisions, profile, etc) and it's kind of like an auction based on how you ranked the schools. She said they have to really pay attention because it goes really fast and if you're not careful, you might miss your opportunity to "bid" on a candidate.

They are going to put my photograph on the screen the and room is going to erupt in laughter.

And then they will all chant "WE WANT LAGOMEZ!!!!!!" An intense bidding war will erupt, but one sneaky adcom member will violate CGSM regulation and offer you a porsche if you take their offer...and you will graciously decline and ask for not one, but two porsche's :)

What do you think happens if school number one gives a student a fellowship but school number two gives full tuition too because they really want that student? If the student goes to school number two do you think they would still be allowed to attend consortium events or do you forfeit consortium rights....even though school 2 is a consortium member? I like to dream big....ha ha
