hey guys.. it's been great reading the last 5-6 pages. Lots going on!

First congrats to all the admits. I'm truly happy for you... we all know the agony of waiting so I'm glad it's one less person.

I retook my gmats today (yes fellowship is out of the question for me).. and i got the same freakin grade! I give up...

I only applied to NYU and Yale (dinged)... so now I only have school left.

O... and I just found out my sister's friend is on the admissions board at ross... a little to late to find out.

This is my first attempt at business school, but for some of you it's your 2nd (3rd?) year... I give you lots of credit. Right now, the thoughtof doing this again next year seems extremely painful...

Someone explain the psychology behind the admit/ding decisions for schools like Haas, NYU, et al.

You have to interview at these schools to be accepted in their MBA program. March 1st is here and there is no word. Therefore, you know you didn't get the fellowship at one of these schools. Yet, no rejection has been made. Why haven't decisions been made by now? Why prolong the process for applicants and just ding already. Huh. Tell me. Cause I would love to know.

Fahim, when did you interview? I know that Haas is conducting rolling notifications.

pretty surprising but I interviewed off-campus on Tuesday (2/22) and got a call on Thursday (2/24).

Well, you won't get the fellowship, but they might still be considering you for admission. I haven't heard back from NYU, so I'm guessing that just means that they're considering my application like any other non-consortium applicant.

Someone got a decision from NYU today? I'm so confused. I haven't heard a peep from them since they sent me the email to check my status. No ding, no waitlist, and definitely no admission yet. I never interviewed there either, but I'm guessing since my Consortium interview was with an NYU alum, maybe they didn't need to do another? I dunno. I'm in agony. I've already interviewed at Anderson so thats somewhat of a step in the right direction but I just want to know if either of them love me already. Because I love them both. I love them long time

I called UT since I hadn't heard from them by COB Feb 28th and adcomm emailed me (since she was at the Consortium meeting) saying I'll hear by Weds morning which probably means a nice ding will be waiting for me when I come home from Philly lol

ok, so we have proof that the adcoms are a bunch of sadistic insensitive cruel _____'s. By now, they all know who's in and who's not, and they also know who's getting the FS and who isn't. Why make us wait any further til mid-month? Because they like to see us in anguish and desperation. They are probably reading this right now laughing their asses off. If you are, I hope your yields plummet!

Hey guys,

This is what happened to me last year. I applied to Tuck, NYU, Darden, Yale and UNC.
Darden (2nd) and UNC (3rd) were great, they sent my rejection email will the rest of the applicants.

Tuck forgot about me. I actually had to call and after speeking with someone in admissions, they sent me an email with a status update (ding).

I had the same experience with NYU and Yale.

I did get feedback from Darden on how to improve my chances of being admitted this year. The admissions person that I spoke to said that I needed to improve my GMAT score.

I hope this helps.
