I just got rejected from NYU ;-( bummer...

Sorry to hear that ibrokeit007. How do you feel about the other schools? We should all draft rejection letters to respond to these schools' rejection letters.

"Dear Stern,

I received you letter dated March, 4th 2011. I formally reject your rejection...."

Best idea yet. However, make sure we analyze their rejection letters holistically before we send them out.

Looking through last year's thread it seems that all Tuck fellowship calls went out the Friday after the meeting (though one person mentioned the calls possibly going out into Monday as well but it didn't seem very concrete)

Admits on the other hand were given out afterwards - seems like a lot of the admits heard about a week after the fellowship people were notified, so hopefully we'll see some activity on the 11th.

Now if only Darden could offer up anything whatsoever....

Well from what I've observed, rankings don't effect admits, only fellowships because people have gotten into schools they ranked 4th and 5th. So perhaps admit calls haven't been made yet and only fellowship calls have cause Dartmouth would only want to give money to the few people that ranked them 1 or 2? I ranked them third.

If the March 1 meeting is like a draft do you think a school you ranked 3-5 would consider giving you a fellowship/admit if they saw your 1-2 didn't admit you/bid for you in the draft for a fellowship? So far my #1 NYU hasn't invited me (possible ding), my #2 Yale waitlisted me, my #4 UT dinged me, while my #3 Tuck and #5 Darden have me waiting by the phone. At this point I just want an admit so I can say I have one lol, screw a fellowship. Unless NYU gave me a fellowship I'd probably opt for loans with Stanford, MIT or Wharton anyway and NYU hasn't even interviewed me.

Also, in retrospect I'm realizing I shouldn't have told the Consortium what non C schools I was applying to so C schools wouldn't ding or WL me to protect their precious yield. Hmmph.

Totally agree on the non-consortium schools question. I don't even know why they have it on their app, does any other school formally ask these questions? I did get the question in a couple of interviews, but nothing on paper

For instance if you are waitlisted/dinged from one school, do the other schools in your ranking know that information?

Wow, thanks!! I kinda am amazing tho. We all are. Yes, I am grateful for USC. Also just found out that I got the full fellowship to USC!!! So excited..can someone say free MBA?!!!!

I say we get together and create a rock band-style video for the schools that we haven't heard from yet. We could sing the song "I waaaaaaaant youuuuuuuu to want me....I neeeeeeeeeed youuuuuuuu to need me...I'm beeeeeegin you to love me!"

Lagomez could be the lead singer, I'll take the drums, Victorymba could play guitar, and ibroke it can smash all the instruments on the floor at the end of the song to express our collective frustrations!!!!

Lagomez,

Great song... I am in, we should all send in rejection letter to the schools that ding us. I am still crossing my fingers for Darden and UNC. I will keep hope alive until the fat lady stops singing.

How is everyone else holding up. I agree that I see about 140k in loans in my near future... and a lot of alcohol on March 16th with the nyc group.

Congrats to all the admits!!!! I have been following this blog hourly for the past few weeks. It has really kept me smiling during these stressful times, thanks! Although, I am a little discouraged with my results...

yale- WL
cornell- ding
NYU- ding
Tuck- WL
Haas- ding with interview, was my 1st choice :(
Ross- interviewed, last hope

I am a white female and applied through the Consortium as I am very devoted to its mission; I left my job in economics to pursue development work in Africa. Also, the Consortium seemed like a great option financially. Now I'm wondering if the Consortium was a bad decision for me.
