Q: How does the application process for the Consortium differ from a regular school application? A: Common Application - One application allows you to apply to up to six Consortium schools. (University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill requires that all applicants submit both The Consortium application and the UNC application) Tiered Application Fee - Using The Consortium common application significantly reduces your application fee costs. You may apply to up to two member schools for $150, three schools for $200, four schools for $240, five for $275, and six for $300 (source: Official Consortium website ) Essays - There are 2 common essays as part of the Consortium application. Additionally, each member school you are applying to requires at least 1 separate, school specific essay. Interviews - There is 1 common Consortium interview that you must schedule with either a Consortium Alum or a representative at a Consortium School. I applied to Cornell and Vanderbilt round 1 (among others) too. Looks like we applied to the same handful of schools. This has been super stressful, but I'm expecting we'll definitely hear something soon.

Looks like the VIP Consortium page isn't so accurate. Mine states that my transcript wasn't received (an X next to transcript) but when I called Consortium on Monday they said that my application was complete.

I'm a R1 applicant. Just heard back from NYU - waitlist. Has anyone heard from Haas, Anderson, Ross or Tuck?

I applied to Ross R2 and just received an email from an adcom member confirming receipt of my application & detailing some of the next steps in the process. Looks like they'll be having a Consortium Interview Day on Saturday, Feb 12. Other than that, that's all I got!

FYI on the timeline (taken from email):

"In case you’re interested in the bigger picture timeline for Consortium applicants . . . representatives from the Consortium MBA programs meet at the beginning of March to recommend applicants for Consortium membership and to make Fellowship determinations. All Ross Consortium applicants will be notified of their Ross admission, membership, and fellowship (or other Ross scholarship award) statuses by March 8th"

Finally, some movement for rd 1. Waitlist is better than denial, so congratulations. Just received a followup email from Ross regarding interviews, but other than that...nothing. I'm surprised to hear about Stern, actually. I sincerely believed that we were being lumped together with rd 2.
