Which schools that require interviews hold only on-campus interviews? I believe NYU is on-campus.

So I found out I was dinged from Darden.

The only way I found this out was by first going into Darden's online application system and clicking forgot password. Then I logged in again today and found out I was rejected. I never received any emails from them when I first submitted or when my application status was updated and a decision was made.

Just an FYI that Darden does not seem to be consortium app friendly.

Because if they were, they would have set up their notification system to include those who didn't apply through their application. I never once received any feedback from them that they received my app, (fine) but then to not notify me when decisions would be released or that a decision had actually been made. If not for GMAT Club, I wouldn't have even known that people were finding out. So I had to go into the Darden application account that I stumbled into on my own. (never received any emails on how to create an account or that one had been created for me and heres how to access it).

That's why.

I did receive notification about Darden receiving my app. I followed up with the contact from admissions and received a very prompt reply.

I received a separate email with login information to access. It contained information on the response date:

Quote:
In some cases where a Consortium applicant has interviewed elsewhere, we may be in touch with you for an in-person interview or telephone follow-up discussion. These invitations will be going out shortly. You should interpret this interview invitation as a positive sign. If you are NOT contacted for a Darden interview, it means that we have all the information we need to help us make an admissions decision. Admission decisions will post with Darden's Round 1 decisions, January 12.

I believe all Consortium applicants received the same canned email (with the above text). Did you confirm the email was not routed to your spam?

We had folks get in last year through consortium. I'm sure this year is no different (maybe not GC folks, but consortium in general).

I received this email today....

Greetings from Michigan! As the Consortium’s Admissions contact at Ross, I’m just sending you a quick note to let you know that we’re excited that you applied to Ross through the Consortium. Congratulations on completing this stage of your MBA journey! The Consortium has begun to provide completed applications to the Consortium schools, and their goal is to have all completed applications distributed to the relevant Consortium schools by the end of January. The Ross Admissions team will be reviewing your materials in the coming weeks.

Ross-specific interview invitations will be sent to Consortium candidates later this month, although those invitations may extend into February depending on when we receive your application from the Consortium. Our interview invitations are normally sent out in waves, and recipients are asked to schedule their interview during a prescribed window of time that covers multiple weeks. Interview invitees have a few interview options available to them. All are considered equal in the eyes of the Admissions Committee, so candidates can choose the most convenient option.

· Consortium Interview Saturday – Ross is hosting a special Consortium candidate-only event on the afternoon of Saturday, February 12th in Ann Arbor. More details will be included in the interview invitation.

· On campus - interviews in Ann Arbor are conducted by a member of our Admissions Student Committee. On campus interviewees can combine this interview trip with our Visit in Person program.

· Off campus – if it’s not possible to travel to Ann Arbor, candidates can interview with one of our Alumni Admissions Committee members who are located throughout the U.S. and world.

In case you’re interested in the bigger picture timeline for Consortium applicants . . . representatives from the Consortium MBA programs meet at the beginning of March to recommend applicants for Consortium membership and to make Fellowship determinations. All Ross Consortium applicants will be notified of their Ross admission, membership, and fellowship (or other Ross scholarship award) statuses by March 8th. The Consortium usually asks for admitted Consortium candidates to make their enrollment decisions by about April 15th, but upon request, Ross can provide an extension until May 1st. Lots for to do and think about in the coming months!

If you have *any* questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact me. In addition, there are a number of other people at Ross who are also at your disposal, including our Consortium liaisons, Darryl Ward [email protected] and Engels Valenzuela [email protected] and our ~150 Ross Ambassadors.

Thank you again for your interest in Ross and the Consortium, and I look forward to connecting with you again in the coming weeks and months.

Regards,

Jon

To those with timeline questions:

I applied through the Consortium to Tuck, SOM, Ross, and Stern round 1 (11/15).

I received the same email as the rest from Ross 11/19 (so the Consortium released my info pretty quickly) and then Stern on 12/3. Neither Tuck nor SOM have corresponded in any way. I was able to confirm that my Tuck application was complete on their website, though. SOM made it clear that we'd all be considered round 2 applicants regardless of Consortium round, and Ross is (apparently) doing the same. As my status with Stern remains unchanged, I can only surmise that I was either an early ding, or will receive an invitation to their diversity interview day later this month. In last year's [or maybe the year before's] forum both rounds received interview invites together in late January.

I hope this info is helpful to those of you who applied in round 2.

Go to Tuck's admission page. Find the link to login to existing application. When prompted to enter your login details, select "I forgot..." If I remember correctly, it will ask for the email address you utilized in you Consortium application and forward your login details.

When I accessed it initially, it said (and still does say) that my application was complete, but that both my undergrad and grad transcripts were missing. I called and was told that it was merely a data entry error and that if any components of my application were missing, they'd have called me a long time ago--mentioned just in case you run into a similar circumstance.

I just did that and the generated email gave me a login id and a link to "reset" my pw. I haven't logged in though because I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Is there anything I could get in trouble for?

If you do get in trouble, this will be the "well, everybody was doing it, so I thought it was OK" things.

There's no other way to access your Tuck apply yourself account other than resetting your pw. Your account is made by the Tuck adcomm when The Consortium forwards the application.
