Has anyone heard from UT?

Nope and they were tied for number 1 in my book....I flipped a coin.

Posted from my mobile device

I think someone here mentioned that they would notify snail mail. Can neither confirm nor deny.

Oh my! They're covering the travel expenses for partners as well? That's awesome! Congrats on all of your admits, look forward to meeting you as well.

Do you have to be admitted to get an expense paid trip? Do I need to have applied? I didn't apply but I'd like to get in on that free trip.

LOL there's only one way to find out....

Or you could pose as someone else....I know a guy that can get you the "right' identification on the low

(I really don't, please don't come get me US fed government!)

I got into UT. Waiting on snail mail. In the official admitted thread, there are still a bunch of people waiting for scholarship info so we are not the only ones.

Has anyone else heard about non-consortium scholarships to NYU? Are they all being sent out now or was the one received today a fluke?

Last year it was up to $200 or $250, I believe.

I think someone posted that consortium letters (whether or not you got in) are being sent on March 15/16. What if you haven't been accepted anywhere yet (NYU, UCLA etc). How does that work.

Yup...same email here as well. I'm just going to assume that they just uploaded our data into the system and will correct the "incomplete status" message.

That's good to hear. I guess everyone will know their fate by the 16th. Are the letters sent by FedEx?

If you haven't been accepted anywhere yet, I'm guessing they will tell you:

1) if you're admitted to the consortium or not
2) if any of the schools provided a fellowship or not, and if so, which schools

I am a bit surprised people haven't heard definitively from NYU by now....

Does anyone know the financial arrangement for the fellowships? What do they cover and how do they handle it? For example, it says in the brochure that all mandatory fees are covered, but it sounds like the deposit (which is a mandatory fee) isn't covered...

Also, is it by reimbursement or will they pay everything directly to the school?

the schools give out the fellowships so essentially the schools don't charge you for tuition or whatever else the fellowship may cover. someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi All,
I have been a long time lurker but decided to finally come out of the shades. First of all thanks for all the information you have provided in this forum. You guys have been a great way to deal with this process. Special mention goes to lagomez!!!
Anyway, somebody was wondering about UT so I decided to give a little back to the forum. I was admitted on Friday 02/25 and yesterday I got an email notifying me about the fellowship (I thought it was a little odd not to get a call). Anyway, I sent an email to the adcoms thanking them about the great news and one of them replied congratulating me again so I guess it is official. I am very happy!
Since I know I will be asked, I applied to two schools through CGSM. UT was my #1. Last Thursday I got a ding from my #2 school. I like to think that they did it because they knew by then that UT was offering me the FS, but who knows.
Congratulations to all the admits and fellows. I hope to meet you all at OP.

Congrats and thanks for the shout out. To be honest, I'm highly overrated. I'm the Miami Heat of this thread.
