Thanks Edemlaw! Darden is my first choice so I am super excited!

I applied R1 and heard on 1/11. (I didn't get a "thanks for your app email" for a good month after pressing submit.)

I went ahead and edited the first page to start keeping a running list of applicants. PM me or post a message here to be added. It will take some time but I can also go through the posts and add applicants. PM if you do not want to be included.

Let me know if you guys think there is a need for a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet will look nicer and we can keep track of GMAT and GPA.

For roll call purposes, I was admitted to UVA Darden. Anyone else applying there?

Lagomez:

Thanks for taking the time start a roll call.

If you decide to include datapoints, my details are--720 (42V, 49Q); UG GPA:3.0 lg state school, GR GPA:3.7 top 5

I know it's late now but how did you guys handle rankings. Did you go by dream school and work your way down or did you start with most likely to get accepted and then work down?

I regret my rankings. Oh well.

How did you rank your schools and what are your concerns?

I started with my dream school and was pretty strategic about the others. For example, I liked #4 better than #3 but thought I'd have a better shot at a separate scholarhip from #4, and ranked #3 higher because I thought the rank would matter to them more.

I was stuck between alphabetical order and distance from my house.

In all seriousness, I went by fit. I thought about the dream school thing but I didn't like the way the rankings looked.

Oh, sorry. My concern is that I would really like to attend some of the lower ranked schools but the chance for a fellowship is much lower because they are ranked lower. Not that I'm getting one but the thought of rankings coming into play makes me uneasy.

haha! You're a funny one, lagomez! I appreciate your sense of humor :)

Well, at this point, I'm sure it's normal to think and rethink our applications and everything about them. That's what this crappy waiting game will do! I'm sure things will end up falling into place!

I only applied to two schools. I really want to go to the second choice, Ross, and their second ranking was purely for strategic reasons. I hope it works out!!! The more and more I look into Ross the more I like it despite its 5% black student population:)

Congrats dexter...I did my consortium interview at tuck's diversity conference, but I sure wouldn't mind getting an interview invite from them!

Re: Rankings. I just went with spite, what else? My #1 became #2 when they waitlisted me for their diversity weekend. Subsequently, #2 became #1 when they accepted me to their diversity weekend...haha.

To keep everyone updated on the Feb 1 deadline issue, I received a follow-up email from the Consortium which states the deadline did not change across the board. Only people who had already started an incomplete application were given an extension.

Just got my Haas application confirmation. Doesn't say anything about how we are supposed to get a decision. Anyone else?

Just received a "no thanks" from Stern (via e-mail update). I ranked them 4th out of 6th--from what I've learned on this forum, they're fairly sensitive to a "low" ranking, so....

Fingers crossed for positive results from the other programs and best wishes to those who ranked Stern higher on their lists :)
