From last year's thread, it seems interview invites started going out the last days of Jan/ first days of Feb.

For anyone applying to Columbia, my friend just received an interview request- she applied R2.

I think you're right, in fact there was a small wave of invites that went out on 1/27 last year (according to the thread anyway).

It's so weird, because I have visited these boards off and on for quite awhile, but this is the first time I have actually submitted b-school apps. I remember always reading about the "roller-coaster of emotions" people felt while waiting for invites/decisions. While it seemed dramatic on the outside looking in, I completely understand it now. I feel like I've been manic lately, hahaha. I think we'll definitely start seeing some wide scale movement this week, if not then next.

Just got an interview invite from Ross! Now my question is...will it look "bad" if I do an off-campus interview with an alumnus in my area vs an on campus interview? I don't know why I didn't just sign up for an interview when I visited the school during UpClose...could've, would've, should've but I didn't! ugh

If they offer off-campus interviews then it shouldn't matter. Especially since you already visited the school.

The eternal question. If I'm lucky enough to get an invite, I'm going to make every effort to interview on campus (unless I absolutely cannot afford it time/money wise). I just feel like it looks better. I have zero backup for that, and I tend not to be logical about those sorts of things. lagomez is probably right that it most likely doesn't matter, especially since you were at upclose. i thought I hadn't received my information too but I did... it was in that "Thank you for apply, we've received your application" email.. i had to go back and go through my emails again... you definitely got it! ;-)
