@kn2130 That's a good point. I guess it's true, even among schools with similar cultures, they all shape their classes differently. All we need is one right guys?

So true...I was reading the Fall 2010 thread (for the third time haha) and remember seeing a poster who only got into one school...and I think they got a fellowship too. So yes, all it takes is one! At this point all we can do is wait...unfortunately lol.

In the meantime, I'm going to daydream about my exit strategy @ work. Granted the day comes when I can finally put in my notice, I'll probably leave quiety and politely BUT deep down inside, I'd love to let a few ppl around the office know how i REALLY feel about them lol

@BusyBee04, ahhhh the exit strategy. I applied R1 and so already got an admit from my first choice school. It is FANTASTIC and I am in no way complaining, but somehow being at work is just that much more difficult now. Five more months of this! I thought it was tough being here when I was just waiting, it gets even tougher when you know you're actually going to leave! (Again, I'm not complaining, I know it is far worse to not know at all yet where you're going.)

I got into Darden and Emory. Darden is my first choice.... Now, another month and a half of waiting for Fellowship decisions...

@kn2130, I can only imagine...I'm barely hanging on and haven't been admitted anywhere yet! So I already know if I did have an admit in hand...all it would take is the wrong person, on the wrong day :-D

Just think, next year some poor manic applicants will be reading this thread trying to detect patterns in when WE got interview invites, admissions offers, and fellowship decisions.... let's hang it there guys! This will all be over soon!

If I had a fellowship offer too?!?! wouldn't even take the wrong person, or the wrong day lol

But you're right, this process will probably be over sooner than what it feels like right now. And next year, we'll be giving advice to prospective students...telling them to just wait and be patient lol. I'm sure that we all put our best foot forward, and if this is in the good Lord's will, then surely He will show us favor and we will land where we're supposed to. I'm just going to continue to pray, stay positive...and refresh my email account :-)

Just got an email from NYU regarding my missing transcripts- which is odd since the consortium does not let you submit the application without uploading transcripts.

Also, the email provided a link where I could check the status of my application using 'my log in.' But I never got an email with the log in. Checked my spam etc, I think something is up with their system.

I don't know about your situation but I know other schools I have applied to have things that don't match what I submitted. I followed up with two different schools and they told me that will be reviewing exactly what was submitted to the Consortium and that the schools status/application system is not what they will be reviewing. I think the status/application system is updated electronically and sometimes there are errors because the fields are different. Either way, probably something you should check just to be on the safe side.
