I applied in January round. I got the following email on Jan 11:

The Admissions Committee has received your application and would like to offer you the opportunity to conduct an Invitational On Campus - January. We would like this interview to be completed by February 9th. Please register for an interview on our website. If you are unable to find a condusive time please email me with your interview date preference Monday-Friday.

Please note that all interviews are weighted equally, whether conducted in person, via phone, by admissions staff, student interviewers, or alumni.

I have a few questions, and please pardon my ignorance...

Broadly speaking, I would just like to know if anyone knows if the Tuck interview is either more or less hard to get than the other top schools. Because most applicants self-initiate (I couldn't for professional obligations), I don't know of any info re: the acceptance rate for the number of invitees.

Also, I thought I'd throw this out there in case any other recent invitees are in the same boat and have some insight: on the website, so far as I can see, I can only register for "On Campus Interview," and not "Invitational - On Campus," although both are options on the drop-down menu. It seems like what I am trying to do fits better in the "Invitational - On Campus" category (the one I can't register for). Does this matter? Should I just register for the "On Campus Interview?"

No matter what, though, I'm excited! I'll probs be interviewing at the beginning of February...

Yes, if the Tuck adcomm feels an interview would be a benefit, a separate Tuck interview is possible (I called and asked). I self initiated an interview.

Hi,

I am R1 applicant and had a quick questions for anyone who is already done with the interview. Does the staus on the application change post the interview (Does it show interview completed or application complete?). My staus hasnt changed, even though its been a long time since I was interviewed - It still says submitted.

Typically a self-initiated interview has to be done before the application is submitted or, at the latest, a week or so after. Why would you do a self-initiated interview if you already interviewed at Tuck?

Well, I interviewed at Tuck, but not specifically for Tuck. It was for the consortium. I thought a self-initiated interview might show gumption. Maybe it's unnecessary.

VictoryMBA, I'm guessing your interview double counted, as it was at Tuck with a Tuck interviewer. I know if one interviews for Consortium @ Darden, this also double counts (fulfills both interviews, although a Darden interview is not necessary for consortium).
