I think i am way too slow....have just started with essays...

I have recently attended a coffee chat session with current TUCK student and it was very informative. The best i have attended so far.

Guys...what is your take on word limit. Though it is mentioned that typical word limit is 500... but still what do you think will be a safe limit.

Where are you guys seeing the essays? I've registered for the apply yourself thing, but I don't see any application components in there. Am I doing something wrong?

does anyone know what interview questions they ask during the school visit? from what i could gather from the admissions blog, it sounds like something along the lines of:

- walk me through your resume
- examples of leadership / teamwork
- interests outside of work

do they go into the more traditional MBA questions i.e. why mba and why now, even though you haven't started your essays?

- Female born and raised in South America. Finished HS in SA as Valedictorian
- 28
- 6 year work experience in corporate finance / marketing in Media, Sports & Entertainment industry
- Undergraduate degree from Notre Dame - GPA 3.0
- Have not taken GMAT yet, but if I get a score above 700 and great essays, so I even stand a chance given my low GPA?

I think you have a good chance if you have a 700+ gmat, great essays, good recommenders, and decent extracurriculars.

I have spent sometime on Tuck website, searched through the forums, but I still did not figure out the "Applicant Initiated Interview" scheme. :??? I am going to visit some schools (I am an international) on the last week of September and just found about this Tuck A.I. Interview.

Sorry if my question is stupid, :oops: but if I schedule an interview on campus, should I send my application before the "applicant initiated" interview (at Hanover) ?

The deadline for the application is the same for the interview, so it is different from other programs, which invite you for the interview AFTER they have evaluated your application.

Can I schedule an interview, for instance, on September, and only then send my application by the November deadline ?

I need to schedule my exam for next week Aug 23rd (I know I waited too late) but I'm freaking out! Tried to call the hotline and after going through a few menus it takes me to a dead end that says "call can not be completed as dialed" What the hell?? :help2

I believe you can schedule for your interview in September, and submit your application in November. Essentially, if you would like to initiate an interview, you have to complete it before the application deadline of the round which you are applying for. Apparently, Tuck's application process is different from most other schools which will only invite shortlisted candidates to interview after the application is submitted.

By the way, I am also an international applicant from Singapore. I will be applying for EA round (deadline mid Oct), and I have scheduled my interview for 16 Sep. Yes, I will be flying to Hanover! And heaven, I'm so looking forward to visiting Tuck!

The admissions team have also told me that I would only need my resume for the interview. There is no need to bring along other application materials.

I tried scheduling an on-campus interview with Tuck on 9/17 Friday. However I am on the waitlist (30 minutes ago, I saw an availability!?). Does anyone know if the interview waitlist has a history of opening up as I am trying to schedule flights too?

All times on 9/17 have a waitlist! :x
