Calling All Fall 2011 USC Marshall Applicants!

Just a note, I got an invite (last week) and my status currently reads:

We are reviewing your application. Your application status is updated daily and/or as changes occur to your file. Because of the volume of materials we receive, please note that it typically requires 8-10 business days from the date of receipt for documents (such as transcripts) to be processed into your file.

So there is no hope left for the rest of the R2 candidates?

Nothing in my email box so I guess that's a ding over here.

why i didn't see anybody receiving an invitation today？kind of weird..

Yes, I am kind of surprised with the lack of invitations for R2 applicants on GMATClub. Best of luck to those few who have got the interview invitation.

are you guys referring to actual invites on campus/skype, or that video interview that people can optionally submit?

Hey guys I saw in one chat with the Marshall admissions office that Feb 15 is when they are looking to start sending interview invites for R2. If that is the case they could just have send some invites earlier than scheduled.
Also isnt 1 month(Jan 15- Feb 15) too short a time period to review all applications and send out invites? Thats like a record compared to other schools. Or am I just trying to keep that final ray of hope alive in my head?Do R1 guys have any pearls of wisdom to offer?

If memory serves me right, in Round 1 they basically sent out all of the interview invitations on the scheduled date. It was a one-month period between the deadline for submission and the announced date for interview calls in R1 as well, however, they probably start reviewing applications as soon as they get them (i.e. they do not wait for the deadline date to start reading those apps), hence they can finish everything in a one-month time frame. Again, that's just a speculation on my part but it kind of makes sense.

It's odd that no body got an official communication with invite or deny today. Since there are so many of us still waiting to hear, we should just stay put - may be things are running behind schedule.

Does anyone know if they had a set deadline for interview invites last year too, or is it something they started this year? I read through the thread from last year and it looks like many people in Rd2 got invites late Feb to early March.

Also, I just noticed that my status page changed today. It now states:

Submission Status: Submitted
Submitted Date: 1/15/2011 9:52:00 PM EST

When did you get your interview invite?

Did anyone from the blog get the interview invite today - Feb 15th?
I called the admissions office and they said that most of the invitations were send out today. But it doen't mean that we cannot get an invitation later this week or even later this month.
I don't understand.... if that is the case, it doesn't make sense to set a day for interview invites.
Only hope would be that the system had a problem and nobody got invitations.

Around February 7 (page 15)

They might have some sort of interview waitlist. It's getting late in the recruiting season and a lot of people they invite to interview are going to have already accepted places at other schools and thus will decline to interview.

I sent a quick email off to the school to ask about my application status. When does USC send out rejection letters?
