Alright. I just sent off my latest and greatest love letter to SOM. :kiss

If this doesn't convince them to invite me for an interview, nothing will.

By the way, for anyone to whom this is relevant, I got an answer from SOM on my earlier additional coursework question (is a course through UCLA Extension or MBA Math appropriate for additional coursework to offset my GPA):

"Generally we prefer classes taught in person, however, we understand there are time, location, and other constraints which make it very difficult. So an on-line class through one of the organizations you mentioned is appropriate."

No diea..the Yale's admission blog is not yet updated..so we dont know yet...I know that consortium's decision date is Feb 25th..

I applied in regular R2. And the decision is not until March 25th and I still have not received the interview invite.So I guess we have time! Sure, I am tensed and get dejected at times, but that does'nt help. Stay positive.

For anyone on the WL, I got the following as part of the reply to the WL update I sent recently: "The committee will be reviewing WL candidates during the next few weeks."

Also, the email came at 9:00pm last night, so I think the admissions people are working like crazy right now.

Btw, to people who've already interviewed (or also, people on waitlist) -

1) If you interviewed on campus, don't forget to send a thank you email. If you haven't yet, mail an actual card. (It's better than email, especially at small programs like YSOM)

2) If you contacted person X for waitlist feedback etc, send him/her a card as well. It's never too late. Just address it to the Yale Admissions Office with their name on it.

Bottomline, I want as many of you guys accepted to the program ~ Every little thing counts, and Yallies do little things that count. :-D

Good luck to those on the WL. I know of at least one person in my class who got admitted in August, just a week or two before classes started. The old adage "never lose hope" comes to mind...hopefully you all get your admits much, much sooner though

Hey -- they sent me a notification stating that they had received my letter two days after I submitted. However that was in December, when things were presumably quiet at AdCom. I had an additional rec letter sent, but AdCom took over three weeks to confirm that they had received it. So, it may take a while. . .

Similar to fourwind, I received a confirmation email 2 business days after I emailed my letter. Mind you, it didn't actually say that my letter had been reviewed, just that it would be added to my file. I'm sure your letter was also added to your file, but it wouldn't hurt to drop an email to admissions asking for confirmation that they received it.
