any possibility adcom might release R2 decisions on Feb 25 (along with consortium decisions)? i'm slowly losing my patience 8-)

Feb 25? Probably wishful thinking, and I'm guilty too.

mbagirl7568 touched on this further up the thread... adcom mentioned last week in a Q&A during visits that they might release some decisions a bit early. I remember the quote as, "maybe 2 weeks before the deadline, so don't start hitting refresh on your email just yet." In the past, they've also suggested there might be 2-3 release points in R2 before the deadline (I think that was from a Q&A with Bruce Delmonico a few months ago). That makes it tougher to put Yale out of mind entirely until next month...

My guess/hope is that they will release a wave of decisions or two before the deadline, but wouldn't count on it for a couple more weeks. Be patient, stay strong -- and maybe hit refresh once in a while anyway, just in case. ;)

Under "recent activities" is where it hasn't updated? I'm not sure what you should do. It couldn't hurt to call.

I would wait on this. My status didn't go complete until at least a week after my interview. It's not something you should worry about. Plus, it's not like you're going to get a decision immediately after you have the Interview Complete status.

I would wait on this. My status didn't go complete until at least a week after my interview. It's not something you should worry about. Plus, it's not like you're going to get a decision immediately after you have the Interview Complete status.


mine took about a week too.

Similar to fourwind, I received a confirmation email 2 business days after I emailed my letter. Mind you, it didn't actually say that my letter had been reviewed, just that it would be added to my file. I'm sure your letter was also added to your file, but it wouldn't hurt to drop an email to admissions asking for confirmation that they received it.


Brainhurt, when did you send your letter in? I sent my update letter in on Feb 1 and have not received a confirmation of receipt yet.

Is anyone still getting R2 interview invites?

I sent in my app early January and haven't heard back yet. SOM is my number one choice... I'm wondering whether I should visit the campus and speak to adcom to increase my chances. Any thoughts?

Yeey our class is growing! I have submitted all the enrollment materials but my checklist still shows them as outstanding, is your checklist updated? Also I am curious what happens after you submit your background check release, has anyone gotten any feedback?

I sent mine around the middle of last week. I'm sure yours is fine, but if you're nervous you should call admissions. I've found them to be very responsive and helpful.

Hey Nink,

It says that you are going into Restructuring right? If you are, I wanted to ask you about opportunities for Investment Management from Yale. I know Bridgewater, Fidelity, and SAC Capital recruit on campus. But, do you know if there are ample opportunities for buy-side opportunities on the long-only side (Mutual Funds)? I realize, you are on the sell-side, but figured you would know the finance side of Yale.

About myself: Interviewed for Yale in early January (R2). Been at Citigroup in their IB group for 3 years and 1 year in the Portfolio Management.

Mine went interview complete the day of the interview.

Also, in the admissions Q&A during my visit, I asked about the comment Bruce D. made about releasing in batches and the admissions rep said he had not heard that definitively from Bruce.
