The time went really quickly and we were really pushed to squeeze it all in. I think she had some unanswered questions at the end of it (I drifted off topic a little when asked about one of my favorite things... should have been more focused I think but was maybe lulled into a false sense of security to some extent), and my questions for her had to be asked on the walk back to the admissions office.

You recap, but especially this part, could as well have been said about my interview experience. Do not let your bad thoughts come in as you wait for the decision as obviously drifting off a little and squeezing your life story in x words/minute have no impact on the outcome. For everyone about to interview - be your best self and don't over-analyze the 30 minutes - the interviewers are not out to get you.

Don't think of the interview as an interview. You're interviewing them as much as they're interviewing you. Have a conversation. Do you like each other? Swell. If not, you move on. Business school is a two-way relationship. Keys to a good interview: optimism, confidence and being genuine.

Same here, have submitted additional materials and have fingers crossed. The nice thing about SOM is they tell the WL'd people that they will be evaluated along with the R2 applicants, so at least we have some expectations about timing. Wish all other schools did the same thing...

Sorry for replying a little late guys. Its fixed. Adcom is in India for 5 days - 2 days in Delhi on 21st and 22nd. And from 23rd to 25th in Mumbai. I just finished my interview with them in Mumbai today.

If I take the admissions person who emailed me literally, they aren't looking at the WL apps for another week or so. I haven't heard of any WL interview invites yet, so I hope that's the case. On the other hand, it seems like most of the SOM WLers were interviewed before being WL'd.

Personally I'm looking to next week for any WL invites to start. I might just call them up and say (in the words of Peter Griffin, tobacco lobbyist), "Come ooon. Come oooooooooon!!!"

Are there any Yale College alumni applying? Does anyone know if going to Yale undergrad gives you any leg-up? Obviously, that's not something SOM would officially admit to, I don't think, but I'm curious if people have heard anything.

I don't know how many Yale college alums applied, but from the networks of the admitted students that I can see on Facebook there are just as many Yale alums as there are Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, Brown, Cornell and other top undergraduate schools. That doesn't mean anything but "there isn't an overwhelming majority of Yale undergrad students in the admitted students so far" but you already have an advantage for coming from a top undergrad program.
