when I was at the campus for my interview, I was told that all the decisions would be released at the same time.

do you think that this will be the case. how was it in r1 or last year?

In R1 decisions came out on or near the decision date. I received my WL without interview on the decision date.

Any reapplicants in round 2 who received interview invite? I haven't heard back from Yale yet, I am a reapplicant. Should I give up hope?

I am a regular applicant for R2. Still havent heard back from them..I have totally lost hope and decided to move on :(

It is sad because Yale was my dream school.

I am posting what many people have posted tons of times:

Its not over till you officially get an email saying so. Also, Yale does send out invites till the end of round. If you look at previous year posts, you will see that lot of people got their invites even to the end of the rounds..

So, dont lose hope...

Wait listed =/. Do people even get off the wait list for Yale? I know their yield is like 45% but there class is tiny. I hear schools like Yale wait for schools like H/W/S to start pulling people off the WL because that often means pulling out admitted students from less competitive schools like Yale. I'd hate to hear in Aug that I've been bumped up after paying a deposit for another school.

To pass the time, I did a little digging on the WLers from last year. Of the 12 WLers, 4 accepted admission elsewhere so didn't stay on the WL, 4 were probable dings (1 ding and 3 unknowns), and 4 were eventually accepted off the WL. Not too shabby!
