Hopefully is only "some" because I received an early invitation.

Pretty much I know my fate so I secured a position in another school.

@dc, don't be a Debbie Downer quite yet. It isn't over until the fat lady dings.

They wouldn't have sent you an interview invitation unless they saw something in your application they liked, and they say that the order in which they extend interview invitations (whether or not that is BS) doesn't reflect the strength of your application. We have 4 more days of waiting, but then we'll know the outcome. I'm trying to #staypositive here. Good luck to everyone!

agreed - also, please remember that there are others here who have not received interview invites as of yet. you have some control over your situation, so try to keep things in perspective. if you blow them away in your interview, nobody (including you) will remember the timing of your interview invite once orientation starts.
