Nink, I've been out of the country the past three weeks and during that time decided to matriculate at YSOM this fall. Update the roll call! I'll change my font to blue when I figure out how to do that next. Thanks for the help and advice you've provided all of us this application season.

I have also confirmed my YSOM spot and look forward to the fall! For those who had less-than-expected results, I am happy to talk to you about reapplications - I applied last year without any luck and have had a much better experience this year. Feel free to PM me.

Hello! R2 waitlister here~ received a reply to my previous queries from the WL manager just now. The wait continues and any movement on the wait list will be on rolling basis.

Heard that historically the waitlist will move from mid-June? Any insights?

I also heard from the waitlist manager today, the same update and judging from last year's posts in this forum, I would say that movement in the waitlist should be expected in the next few weeks.

I want to wish all the WL candidates the best........but at this point (this late in the game), I want to let you guys know that schools with YSOM's class size (Haas, Tuck, and other small programs, etc) accept very few people off the WL (if any). Spots open up due to unusual and unforeseen circumstances (international student getting visa denied, student withdrawing for personal reasons, etc etc)...

That's why you hear about horror stories, such as acceptance notice only few wks before orientation date, etc. Spots open up unexpectedly and if people (for one reason or another) requested to stay on the WL, that's when offers go out. (in general)

Thanks nink for your insights, it would be great if we can know when is the deadline for the R3 deposit as many of the R3 accepted students would wait till the deadline before making their final decision.
