Does anyone know if the schools subsidize any or all of the costs associated with OP? $1,400 for the hotel room ($700 double occupancy) and approximately $400-$600 for the flight. Not to mention the fact that many of the schools want their first or second deposit on or around June 1, which will be around $1,000-$1,500!

Will ranking Tuck #1 be a boost in terms of admissions decision? This whole ranking sensitivity thing is still murky for me.

At a school like Tuck, I'd say maybe a tad, but not so much. They expect to be #1 or #2 in most people's rankings. So I'd say ranking them highly just keeps an applicant in the mix more than anything. Ranking them low would be quite possibly an automatic DING. Has anyone heard of any Consortium applicants ranking them #3 or lower and getting accepted? I almost applied and ranked them 4th, but that seemed pointless, so instead I ranked Haas 4th, which was equally as pointless. lol

For the ones that are waiting for the consortium decision just like me: ONE MORE WEEK LEFT!!!! (approximately)

I applied on the November round so I have been waiting for almost four months!!! but finally the wait is coming to an end...

Hi Ketchup, haven't seen you on the forum before, welcome.

I see you had some GREAT success with you Consortium schools. Curious, since you're admitted to such a wide-range of b-schools, what are you going to do if, say, your 5th choice ends up being the school that offers you the fellowship...would you still consider going to Tuck instead, or take the fellowship?

Thank you! I signed up last week so I am kind of new here.

I put a lot of work on my applications, so I am very happy that all the effort paid off.
It is a difficult decision since I have received very good offers from other schools, and since I selected my schools carefully making sure they were the best for me. However, Tuck is not only a great school, but also its location is perfect due to family reasons. I have not made a definitive decision yet, but I believe I will be a T14.

ahhhh decisions... decisions... ;)

All I know is that they are meeting in St. Louis next week and that afterwards they should begin notifying the admitted students. I don't know if the consortium will notify students or if each school will do so.

Interesting... UCLA is interviewing through Friday... not much time to evaulate interviews as part of a "total package" I really wonder how much interviews matter/if at all. This process has made me doubt thier significance.

Close to 99% I believe. I've seen the statistic somewhere before. Basically, if you decide to attend a Consortium school you're going to get membership, unless things change this year for some reason.

I think there's an annual report floating somewhere that shows the applicants, admitted, and membership numbers. Mixed is right. Only an extremely small number of admitted students are not offered membership.

I do plan on attending it. But its 2 or 3 missed work days, $400 tickets from where I am, plus hotel and maybe even rental car expenses.

If the above poster is right and CGSM offers some kind of help, I'll def go.

Hey this is also my first post. I also attended the diversity weekend and have yet to hear anything. It was my understanding that we would hear back by this week, but the website has a decision date of April 1st. I will be sure to post an update if I hear anything before then.

Has anybody here been referred to the CGSM? I got admits last week and today, one of my schools is asking me to apply to the Consortium. I even got an email from a CGSM manager with instructions to apply, but I've been given ONLY 5 business days to submit the mission essay and get a recommendation. I'm assuming they want me to submit quickly because it looks like they are making final decisions next week. Is it even worth it? I don't even think I'll be considered for fellowship with it being so late in the process.

Do it! They wouldn't bother to ask you to apply via consortium this late in the game if they weren't keen on giving you the fellowship.

I know treydingo was told by his school to apply for consortium after he was already admitted for a chance at more $$.
And yes, definitely worth it in my opinion. You have already been considered by your school for the fellowship obviously, the only other part is CGSM, and they haven't made decisions yet, I don't think being late will have much effect.

So, absolutely, if you can spare some time this week for a quick essay and a phone call, you've probably got a great shot at the fellowship, they give out quite a few
