If I submit in the middle of the 2nd round, are they consolidate that with the rest of the rounds? I know it depends on each school, but I guess most of the schools will. I read from the Ross website that they even plan to consolidate the entire R1 and R2 consortium apps.

From what I gather:
Darden, Tuck, Tepper, Cornell, NYU, Emory do not consolidate.

Yale, Ross, Haas, Marshall and Anderson do.
Not sure about the rest.

But let's say I submit at the beginning of R2, do they wait for the deadline to review my application? If so, the wait and the suspense would kill me. Maybe I should wait until the end of R2.
I'm trying to finish up my application, but I am having a problem in copying two of my essays into the text box for the UCLA and USC essays. Both have a word limit of about 750 words each which I maintained while writing, but when I copy it into the application it goes over the 4,000 character limit by hundreds. I cant cut back on my essays without leaving out significant info. Has anyone applied to these schools or had this problem in submitting an application so far. I wanted to submit over the weekend, but will this prevent me from submitting until Monday when I can call them?
Use a different web browser then you can copy and paste. The same thing happened last year with a lot of us who were applying. I think internet explorer works the best.

Johnny,
Also, the browser counts spaces, line breaks and hyphenation as a 'character'. My essay came out to about 600 words and 3990 characters. I had to call Consortium to reconcile this character limit issue on my application. Try not to get too worked up about it though. Let us know what happens, good luck!
Does anyone know how to get the Mission Recommender process to work?
I put my mission recommender email in the "Membership" section, and click save. But my mission recommender said that she did not receive any emails. I tried it with my own email, and I didn't receive anything either (checked spam folder as well).
Can someone please help me figure this out, so my mission recommender can submit her rec.

Make sure that you have opted in to receive Consortium emails. This was the issue I encountered. You can call the Consortium tomorrow and they can help you troubleshoot.
Should somebody bother applying to the Consortium if they are a Southern Asian? Think Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia, there is no doubt in my mind that we are underrepresented but due to people clumping all Asians into one group, it does not appear so.

I was at a Consortium event in NYC in September and saw a good number of Asian candidates in attendance. My assumption is that they are of the nationalities that you listed. Applying through the consortium is less about claiming an ethnicity and more about demonstrating a commitment to the consortium's mission. A person can be black or Latino or Native American and still not be an appropriate Consortium candidate.

Hi Cheetah,
Where can I go to opt in to receive Consortium emails? Also, did you have to submit the full application before the mission recommender would receive his/her email?

Nope, don't have to submit the full application before the mission recommender receives his/her email. I would just call the Consortium and tell them the issue. They did all the troubleshooting for me and the email was sent out the next day.
