I attempted a mock today GMAT Prep Test 2 and scored 610 (Q47/V28), my Quant score was as expected, but the verbal score was really low. After my review, i came to know that my SC percentage is very low, RC is almost there and CR is good. I need to work on SC that is my top priority in my verbal side of prep. I am revisiting OG - SC questions from tomorrow and i have planned for another Mock next weekend, hopefully i improve a little on SC this week :fingers_crossed:

End of Week 1 (11/01) Update:

I took my second mock of this prep cycle today. I took Veritas Prep test and score 630 (Q44/V33). I took in the order of V/Q/IR/AWA. This is going to be my section order in my GMAT Exam next month.

Verbal Analysis:
Though verbal scored increased slightly from my previous mock, still i have not broken the V40 barrier yet. I need to improve my SC. I am happy with my RC thanks mainly to EMPowerGMAT Strategy and my CR needs little work if i need to reach V40. SC has been a thorn in my prep for some time now :( . Hope i conquer SC soon.

Quant Analysis:
I lost my concentration during my quant section. I also need to work on my timing strategies. Even then i am still in Q47 range. Before next mock, i need to finalize my test taking strategy and timing strategies to score in Q47 range. I also missed couple of straightforward questions on Probability and Combinatorics :(

Q47 --> Q49 is atleast 2 weeks away as of now.

Study Plan for upcoming week:
Verbal:
SC: I am going to revisit first 3 chapters in MGMAT SC guide again in parallel with practicing 10 questions daily from official materials in each subsection SC/CR/RC.

Quant:
Concept Revisit - Probability & Combinatoricd/Counting Methods section in the Quant Megathread section.

Practice: I am going to revisit the Advanced Probability problems with solutions document. I have solved all of these already , but wanted to try those again. There are 40 questions and all of then 700+ level questions.

I am going to take Mocks every 6th day from now on. So i have to complete above mentioned study plan by coming friday.

Week 2 (11/08) Update:

Verbal:
Completed MGMAT SC and answered few questions related to SV agreement in GMAT Club. I did not work on CR and RC this week.

Quant:
Completed - PnC in Quant Megathread and answered daily PS/DS butler questions.

Mock 3: Veritas Prep Mock 670 (Q50/V32)
Though i scored Q50, i am not confident of achieving that score in the real GMAT until i score Q49/Q50 consistently in all the mocks leading to the official GMAT. I am happy to see the Q50 score nevertheless:)

Again my verbal score is in the V32/33 range, no V40 yet for me :(. First i need to break V35 barrier and then V37/38 and finally reach V40. Looks like a long road ahead. SC is the key to improve my verbal score.

Mock scores so far
10/25 - GMATPrep 2 Retest - 610 (Q47/V28)
11/01 - Veritas test 1 - 630 (Q44/V33)
11/08 - Veritas test 2 - 670 (Q50/V32)

Week 3 Plan:
I am done with my veritas tests. I will be taking MGMAT tests going forward and planning to complete MGMAT tests leading upto official tests before the exam.

I think i have the necessary conceptual knowledge in both Quant and Verbal. I am going to revisit GMAT Club Quant flashcards this week and revisit certain hard question in Quant to ensure i remain in Q47 range. In Verbal i am going to revisit SC Megathread and take sectionwise questions. SC definitely needs more work. I want that elusive V40. Its time to increase the intensity.

Week 3 (11/15) Update:

Verbal:
Analyzed my second Veritas mock and re-attempted all the verbal questions i got wrong. I revisited Comprehensive SC Guide my Whiplash. Answered SC butler questions and realised am still not at a level needed to achieve V40. Need to spend more time on SC.

Quant:
Answered PS/DS daily questions.
During concept prep phase, i had created an excel sheet with a list of questions to revisit. I had like 20 questions in that spreadsheet and i revisited all of them.
Did 3 question sets in Bunuel signature sets.

Mock 3: Not attempted
I did not feel like taking a mock this week, i felt not much improved from previous week especially w.r.t verbal, so i do not see a score improvement.

Week 4 Plan:
Quant: Bunuel sets - I will be taking 10 question sets from Bunuel before the next Mock.
Verbal: SC - I am going to work only on SC, planned to answer 5 questions every day with very thorough analysis. All the questions are going to be from SC Butler last week's questions. Goal is to identify why 4 incorrect choices are incorrect.
