If you don't mind sharing , what areas did the adcom think you needed improvement if you had a very strong interview and a decent GMAT score ?

Folks recommend wearing suits for the interview, but it's too hot. What are others gonna wear.

They recommend professional dress. I wore a suit for my interview. Best not to risk it. If you're really that warm, wear lighter clothes when commuting/driving over to Berkeley, arrive early and change on campus.

FWIW I'm an R2 re-applicant, I applied last year and was WLed until the bitter end (like 3 weeks before classes were due to start). No interview invitation this time which has me very nervous... although during my feedback session they said my interview was very strong and the adcom rep I spoke to recently assured me that it's very common not to re-interview.

Basically it came down to years of work experience for me. At the time of my last application I had 4.5 years of work experience.. when I was waitlisted after R2 I had a feeling that was why, so I submitted an additional essay describing why I felt that I could still contribute at the same level as other classmates due to the quality, not quantity of my experience.

During my feedback session they said I had a great career path, well defined goals etc etc, but they wanted to see more senior-level responsibility and advancement. Hoping some of the projects I've done this past year will help.

Hi R2 applicants,
Has HAAS started calling the R2 applicants with the decisions yet?

Last year they called admits on Thursday (day before posted decision date), and sent emails to all applicants on Friday.

Dress for an east coast style job interview - a suit. If you don't, you're probably not going to get in.

It has been one day prior for the last 3 years.

The year I was admitted, they didn't get through the entire list by the end of the day. So, some people found out the day decisions came out.

OMG. I was able to log in. It says "As an EWMBA admit you are eligible to apply for the following scholarships:" and listed several options. Trying not to freak out as we don't know what this means, but I am very hopeful it's a positive indicator.

For what it's worth, I tried my user ID and password from last year's application cycle and it would not let me log-in, it said "You are not eligible for any scholarships."

Anyone else from R2 or R3 able to access??
