Didn't look at Cali this morning, so I don't know if they were all added today.

Right now, there are 73 taken and 5 open.

Can you sum up all the taken slots that it lists for all locations? That helps us figure out how many invites have been sent out.

Thanks!

I also got an invite yesterday. 9:20 AM EST. I am an Indian applicant.

I think they are now sending out invites locationwise and they add slots a day before they send invites. I got to know that they added 3 slots in Mumbai previous night and then I got the invite. So I guess most of the interview invites are being sent one hub at a time..

All the Best! to everyone

Cheers,

Will HBS provide feedback for students who have been rejected?
Due to the large number of applications we receive each year, we cannot accommodate requests for personalized feedback on your application. We receive 7,000 to 10,000 applications for approximately 900 places in the class, and therefore have to deny admission to many exceptional individuals. Also, please understand that the decision of the Admissions Board is final, and we cannot advise you on whether or not you should reapply in the future.

Does this mean that No new slots have been added to NY/Boston? That is, the ny batch isn't out yet? (waiting in NY)

just speculation, but seems as if 600 of the invites have already gone out.

i'd probably say one more wave next week to get to 750-800, and then...

Trying to figure out whether those of us in NY still have a reasonable chance (small number of ny slots given). Can anyone provide insight?

so I have a question about the whole demographic question. Is it a question of background or a combination of background and experience? For example, is it just the 'Indian male' status that they look at, or do they more look at the 'Indian male engineer/IT' group all together? Basically, if you come from an over-represented group, but with very different work ex/career goals, where do you fall? Would love to hear thoughts on this.

For the question about NY, Dee mentioned in a director's blog note that they add slots as interviews are extended and that candidates are always welcome to visit campus to interview. I wouldn't rule out further invites to people in the NY area just because the NY slots were filled. They may add slots, or they may assume that you can travel to Boston for an on campus interview.

I agree. I'm south of NYC (in Philly), yet I am driving to Boston for the interview....

It's not every day I have a reason to drive to Harvard (hopefully it will become an every day thing next year).

Can anyone post the latest slot/location info?

Also, at this point are some applicants simply still not reviewed? I'm curious... waiting4hbs- what do you do at MS? I'm at another bank, similar stats and mindset, and I'm curious whether the guys at banks are invited yet (we could be in the group for next week).

I am on the MSSB side (Graystone Consulting - we focus on Institutional Asset Management)

Yes and No - I do believe that there are some applications that have not yet been reviewed. But, every attempt we've all made to try and come up with some "system" they are using to organize the stack (by region, by GMAT, by job function, etc) doesn't seem to pan out.

My theory is this - 1. They print all 4000 R1 applications out. 2. They hand them out to adcom members for review. 3. They go through them 1 by 1 at a rate of about 1000 per week. 4. From that 1000, they invite about 200 per week (on the 15th we saw about 400 from the 2 previous weeks), adding interview slots as necessary.

So if Dee plans to interview 800 people, that means there are roughly 200 more invitations to go out (actual numbers look to be closer to 150).

In my mind, our only hope at this point is if we are at the bottom of the stack, and for some reason something in our application sticks out to the person reading it. I don't think there's any more to it than that.

Again, that's just my theory.
