Hi,

For those tho wait - I wanted to share my basic profile stats. I did not receive invitation yet and I have a very small hope to get one.

I'm M/25
born in Ukraine and live in US from 2004
Went to Kansas State University and graduated in Marketing with GPA 3.65 (use to do D1 track) (also have 2 years in computer engineering in Ukraine)
GRE Q. 740 and V. 370
iTOEFL - 107 (I know that HBS recommends 109)
for last 2.5 since graduation I work in Online marketing at a global software company
was involved in multiple startups in Boston area as volunteer and career goal after graduation venture capital and entrepreneurship.

I consider my chances for interview very slim but hope will die on November 4. So far every profile I see here - are all ALL Stars with tremendous scores, awesome school, great jobs and good community. I feel as my profile is just average - but that's only if you look at scores.

Unfortunately, the truth is that nobody knows what they are looking for. I would have thought (arrogantly), that I would certainly get an interview because of my stats (760 GMAT, 3.9 GPA, 6 Years with Morgan Stanley), but I haven't gotten an interview - and many people with much different stats (some lower) have. It's a crapshoot. That's why we apply to more than one school!

Any California invites today?

Yeah - where's the love for California?!?!

Seriously, HBS needs some Cali spirit. Perhaps they think we can't handle the snow :)

I go to Tahoe - that's the same as living through a Boston winter, right?

LOL

OK so still waiting....M/26
Top 3 technology consulting firm, promoted early, youngest Senior Consultant in the practice(within 3yrs instead of 5), awesome Supply Chain work exp (leading multiple implementations - currently at largest F&B company in US) graduated in 07 with MechEngrg degree from top 5 engrg sch..3.3GPA and 710 GMAT. Multiple community service leadership, very strong EC's (i think at least)...Indian by ethnicity but grew up in Sinagpore and having a permanant residence status in US....
Any hopes for me? or maybe i should just resign myself to the fact that not gonna get an invite??

Time to bust out the magic 8-ball again. The sad truth is, no one knows. We are all type A personalities, so we are searching desperately for tiny pieces of information we can use to try to control something that is, by nature, entirely out of our control.

It's time to relax and try to enjoy the ride.

I'm in Cali and nothing yet either. Still hopeful though, I felt I delivered solid essays (got feedback on essays from an HBS alum) and have a military background and am a diversity candidate. I'd be 31 at matriculation though so if anything will do me in, I have a feeling it would be my age.

Better shape than me! Grew up in SoCal my whole life and saw snow for the first time a few years ago ;)

I'm going to go with the assumption that they find my file (and essays) so interesting that they wanted to read it over and over again before letting go of its genius and putting it in the 'invite' pile :)

I am guessing there wont be anymore "waves". Invites will now be sent in a one-off fashion.

(Just to keep my heartbeat down at 1235 EST :D )

I also got an invite yesterday. 9:20 AM EST. I am an Indian applicant.

I think they are now sending out invites locationwise and they add slots a day before they send invites. I got to know that they added 3 slots in Mumbai previous night and then I got the invite. So I guess most of the interview invites are being sent one hub at a time..

All the Best! to everyone

Cheers,
