Could anyone share info on the number of spots left in Mumbai
8 of 25 left, quite a chance

@hobright: Thanks for the info. I am new to this portal and dont understand the color schemes for various schools. If you don't mind, could you please enlighten me on the status of your apps.
looks like more invites for internationals likely. makes sense given those interview schedules are scheduled later and sign-up predictability is less certain.
If you received an invite, be sure to check out the Unofficial HBS Interview Guide, which includes updates from Round 1 (Fall 2011) interviews! Written by current (and recently admitted) HBS students for Future HBS students!
If you have any questions about HBS feel free to send them my way! I'm happy to help in anyway I can.
Hey guys, I am struggling to figure out how to best prepare for the interview. I've read various people's posts on here but can't decide what to do. Does anyone have a view on the above-mentioned guide from Harbus? Any insights from R1 admits or R2 interviewees would be extremely helpful. Thanks and good luck everyone!

It's very helpful. I used it last year and didn't have anything come up in my interview that surprised me.

I second that. I used the Harbus Unofficial Guide R1 this year and it was phenomenal. Aside from the large list of potential interview questions the guide includes other useful information such as where to go if you forgot to pack something important (shirt, ties, etc.), local dining options, and places to check out on campus.
I also used the Harbus guide. The questions are pretty comprehensive. That being said, you really never know what direction the interview will go -- it's completely up to the discretion of the interviewer. I'd check out the ClearAdmit Wiki guide as well.
Last thing I'd recommend is to practice! I know more than a few people (who are *very* well spoken and are used to presenting) get flustered during the interview for whatever reason. I like practicing with friends who may not know you *as* well and just let them to ask questions from the guide and/or off script. I feel like that helped me think on my feet.
I'm actually not that nervous..I know that HBS already sent the majority of their invites, so I'm comfortable assuming a ding at this point and then be pleasantly surprised if I'm wrong.

Kudos again to HBS for the transparency!

Right...to me it feels like when you get a girl's phone number at a bar and give her a call a few days later. If she doesn't call you back in the next couple days you know she's not interested, but for a week or two there's always the slim chance she was on vacation or lost her phone (hey I said SLIM chance).
I've already accepted defeat at HBS so any good news is like playing with house money.

Ditto, it's hard to not think "what if" though.
Kind of like playing the lottery, you know that the one dollar you spent on the ticket is gone but the enjoyment that you get from thinking "what if" for a little while makes it all worth it.

Agreed. It's hard to not think about "what if". I am supposed to be in bed but i can't fall asleep so i've decided to wait till 1200EST to find out about "what if".
