Anyone from a healthcare background get an interview invite?

I asked that question earlier but received no positive replies. Either there are too few of us Healthcare folks on this forum or they're taking extra time to evaluate our applications.

Last year, they admitted ~55, so they probably interviewed ~90 assuming a post-interview acceptance rate of 60%. Tomorrow is our day, I just know it! :-D

HC guy here as well, no word yet. Hopefully we all get an invite tomorrow. Good luck!

So who is ready for another round of eating a gallon of ice cream while hugging your knees and rocking back and forth in the shower when they dont see their invites come in tomorrow?

I sure am.

Here's to hoping I can break out the scotch for a celebration not consolation.

Scotch, good man! But I wouldn't be celebrating just yet, even with an invite. Invite does not equal admit.

solb22, For people who have not received an invite, getting an invite does feel like a celebration. Atleast I know the ball will be in my court after that. I can either mess up the interview or handle it well. But right now nothing is in my hand...

I'm reapplying after being waitlisted in R3 earlier this year and I can tell you that getting that interview invite is definitely a celebration, but it makes the ding a lot worse if it comes. I haven't gotten an invite this year either so I'm a bundle of anxiousness as well.

Good luck everyone.

Dear HBS Guru,

I am interested in an evaluation of my profile to see my chances at HBS. I am 32 years old, going strongly to 33. I was born in the US yet raised in Latin America. I have over 6 years of work experience developing sustainable businesses in the region. I know Spanish, English and I am learning Portuguese. I have a 113 in my Toefl, 670 on the GMAT after taking it twice (first time was a 620), wanted a 750 but was more than satisfied with a 50 point improvement.

A bomb exploded a block an a half from my parent's home, the only house I had lived in, last year while I was preparing for my GMAT. Not too many job promotions not a high salary as I had been happily working in the Social Enterprise sector applying an interesting sustainability framework.

My dad is a Harvard PhD in Economics and my sister graduated from the Kennedy School of government.

What do you guys think? Is my profile different than your typical MBA? Do you think I have a chance or should I look to other programs in the US. Stanford maybe, I hear the weather is nicer this time of the year.

Feedback welcome!

This is so agonizing! especially if you're in a different time zone. Its 5:00 pm where I am, and I'm waiting for my unread email count to increase...but no new emails...It's like waiting for the phone to ring! I'm applying in R2 for another B school but just can't focus on the app today...I seem to be the only one though...hv scoured every blog worth it's salt, but don't see many folks agonizing and analyzing this way...and I can't focus on work either...this is killing me!!!!!

tess11 :-) I can assure you that most of the folks are in the same state, probably they are just staying away from forums till 12PM EST. It is difficult to focus on work or anything else today .. I am on IST time zone ... can understand your state :-)

Thanks for your kind words...but I have backed up my back up schools, and haven't heard from them either... It's only 2-3 weeks since I submitted these apps, so may be i need to give the worrying a rest...

As always, if you're feeling anxious, feel free to come to chat and vent/wait/talk with others! It probably won't get hopping for another hour or two, but come on by: https://gmatclub.com/chat/?fl=menu

For some reason, I'm fairly zen about this round of invites (as opposed to the first one where I was a nervous wreck and checked my phone/computer every 5 seconds for emails/posts). Although I can feel my nervousness creeping up a bit as noon EST draws ever closer.

Good luck, everyone!

This process is so stressful I figure you have to celebrate the small victories. Plus I have a bottle of Lagavulin 16 from my fiance's father that really needs to be opened!

Last round went out just after 12:00pm EST. This round could be different, but I am expecting it to be the same.
