well it seems that all the invites to be sent out today have already gone out. Multiple confirmations of telephone calls say that all emails for today have gone out. Question on if any dual-degree applicants got their invite? HKS/HBS anyone?

well I guess I can still hope for the extra spots. Anyone know of invitees that have actually declined the interview? (rare I would imagine)

I guess that's why they don't say how many invites are left...

im dual degree and did not get one - and it has nothing to do with being a joint candidate - they make the decision totally independent of that

From the directors blog just now:

Round 2 Interview Update
Date: February 12, 2010

As planned, today we are sending out roughly 800 interview invitations to round 2 applicants and some round 1 waitlisters. Invitations will arrive by email from HBS MBA Admissions and will be sent out before 5:00pm EST today. We will make sure every invited candidate is contacted so don't worry about missing our email.

More interview invitations will follow, up to decision notification on April 6. How many? I don't know for sure at this point - perhaps 50 or so. The majority of invitations will indeed be sent today. We continue to review - and re-review - applications and are also making some preliminary round 2 waitlist decisions. Candidates who do not receive interview invitations in round 2 will be considered for spots on the waitlist. I expect there will be approximately 100 round 2 candidates who will be invited to join the waitlist.

According to the HBS Director's Blog, invites will continue to go out till 5pm EST. As much as I would love to believe this, I have a feeling the majority have gone out already. It also notes that each person will "be contacted" and to not worry about missing the email. Anyone here who has received an invite been contacted (other than the email)?

This process has made me a bit too neurotic for my own good.

it is shocking that you were interviewed last year at HBS and GSB, even got waitlisted at the latter, and did not even get invited to an interview this year

Got an invite dated at 1:09PM EST, according to GMAIL. I'm in Istanbul at the moment, so it came quite late in the day for me - just got back to my room. Good luck to everyone else seeking to score one. I'm off to dinner.

may I ask, are you from south East Asia? I dont know anyone who got an invite from Asia...But as you can see above, someone in Istanbul go it at 1:09pm eastern time...so perhaps they are moving geographically???
