up to you, but you better have a good reason.

you can almost always trim down the essay to convey better meaning. If you’re over 10%, you better have very strong and concise points that you cannot reduce.

I would not recommend exceeding the word count - they are measuring your ability to convey a message within a concise manner.

Yeah, I think I was exactly on the word count for all essays. Super tough. Personally I think it’s way too short. 450-500 words is really the sweet spot.

I was struggling with just one essay.My word Count was 330.Finally had to cut down.I wish they allowed at least 400 words.
