I'm a deferred Co'22 admit, so I can't officially comment for obvious reasons. Let's just say that ISB may have accepted all the deferrals which may be around 250. Again, I'm not officially allowed to comment, so please feel free to make your own interpretations.

Good lord! I just hope that there's an increase in the intake for next year.

Business schools have done it in the past. They have increased/decreased the class size as per the requirement. Not sure whether ISB has done it before. It is going to be a crazy session in the MBA Spotlight

FWIW, Around 200 people deferred their Harvard admission this year.

I've decided not to reapply to ISB since I'm really too old to compete for jobs in the cohort at ISB. I will be 39 in 2021. I sent a very bad application last time with a poor GMAT score of 630. I'm confident I can improve my score but think finding a job after my MBA at ISB will be difficult. My wife likes ISB because it is located in India and it is cheaper than schools abroad. If you think I might have a good chance in the job market, let me know.

Doesn’t ISB offer any executive programs? Did you check? Also what schools are you going to apply this year?

There's also a senior executives club in ISB. You might want have a word with people from the club for a more accurate assessment

How are job opportunities for Ex-MBA different from the regular MBA one?

Not sure if the job opportunities are going to be entirely different after MBA vs Executive MBA but I guess the main point is you don't need to leave your current job for the part-time exec MBA which makes it less of a worry?

The last time I checked they don't facilitate placements in their EMBA. You might want to double check this though, it's been a while since I last heard about this.

I am from Merchant navy background and i have 24 months of experience as a Trainee navigation officer.
The course structure of Merchant Navy is quiet different from others.

Initially my course was as such..
1. DIPLOMA IN NAUTICAL SCIENCE
2. 24 MONTHS OF SAILING AS A TRAINEE NAVIGATION OFFICER
3. RECEIVING BSC (Graduation) DEGREE
4. SHIPPING MINISTRY EXAMS TO BE CLEARED

I would like to ask that.. Would that work experience before getting the Bsc degree be counted FOR PGP course since i had a diploma then.
I assure that it was a full time work experience with the assigned responsibilities as per the rank.

Usually, ISB considers post-qualification experience (post-Bachelor's degree experience).

FWIW, Around 200 people deferred their Harvard admission this year.

Thanks for sharing. ISB has grown its class size from around 345 students in 2006, to 900+ in 2019. The class size has never decreased, though this year the regular intake may be lower, given the deferrals.

Thanks for sharing. The app does not seem to be open yet though - should be open soon. In past years, they had opened up the app as early as mid-May too, but this year of course is different in many ways.

Yup, doesn't look like it. The new class commencement would also change from 10th April 2021 as it mentions there (unless its online for a start). The current class of 2021 is scheduled to hit campus by 1st Sept 2020 and graduate by 31st May 2021. The portal could open later this month / early July I guess.
