Hello, hope everyone are doing well, I am new here and wanted a suggestion, should I consider applying for ISB with a GMAT score of 580? My academics are great, 1 year work ex in my concerned field and decent awards and extracurricular activities.

You can try applying. But I think you might need a higher score. Last year the 80%ile score range was between 690 and 760 I think. So it would be better to be in that range

Much aware of the average cut off,, I would really want to know if there are any chances at all for a 580 score to be considered, is it worth a try?

I would say that you are borderline. Better to target a better score before applying.

Among the many ways to check which would work better for you is to see
a) Where would you want more to work post MBA (and therefore would want a stronger network there)
b) How much of a match between the employer profiles between your choice ones, and those that these schools generally have
c) Your targeted career role post MBA...

Realizing midway, or at the end of your MBA that you would have been better off at the other school is an expensive mistake, and strongly suggest you to not take guesses (or opinions from underqualified mentors, however good their intentions..)

If you have only one year of work experience then you won’t be able to apply for PGP as minimum required work ex is 2 years. However with one year of work exp you can opt for early entry option. I guess last date for that is March so you have time to get better GMAT score.
