Depends on what your mock test scores are. Ideally, planning for a probable second attempt on the GMAT, you should plan for a first attempt by May end or June Mid, so that you will have time for a second attempt at the GMAT if required. Calculating it backwards (unless you plan to simultaneously work on the application) - keep around 45 - 60 days for a well thought out application and get done with the GMAT prior to that. Last year the ISB R1 Deadline was September 4th.
