Hey, you can start preparing now. If you can spend 2.5-3 months on the preparation and spare 2-3 hours to study everyday (consistently), you will be in a good shape to wrap up the syllabus by mid July. Then you can take mocks and book an exam appointment for August 1st/2nd week.

Hey. Low work-ex shouldn’t be a hinderance. That being said, try to get a good GMAT score (>=720)/GRE (>=328). Your academic rigour previously hasn’t been bad so no red flags there, assuming there are no gap years in between. Also, you should try to stitch around a compelling narrative around the work that you have done in the last 24 months. Since it’s consulting, you must have worked across different client engagements on a steep learning curve. You need to put that in the essays for the evaluators.

I am planning for ISB 2024. I will be having work exp of 7 years by june 2024. 10th - 92%, btech in Eee from NIT with 9.28 CGPA. I am working in product based MNCs. Could someone please tell me what does ISB look at some one with 6 to 7 years of exp. And what can be the extra curricular activities required.

Hey. Since you are an experienced professional, majority of your application evaluation and interview conversation will revolve around the impact created at work/projects led. Personally feel that the academic record is great which will help if let’s say you don’t score well in the GMAT (680-710). Also, beyond work, you can try to see if you can cultivate or start a passion project which truly excites you and you would want to give your weekends towards that. Don’t do something just to impress the adcom, they will be able to figure it out in the interview. It can be anything - creating content on LinkedIn/starting a bakery venture/authoring blogs on substack/teaching. But something that you genuinely want to do.
