Okay thank you.
And for the people who have taken help from a consultant, could you suggest some good ones to talk to for help in application? I am aiming to apply for round 1 itself. Thank you

Look around this forum and you will find several consultants. Speak to them to determine the right fit for you.

We help on ISB apps too. You can check out more here.

700 is already a decent score and so, the only way forward, is up.

Getting 30+ more score than your current score will definitely enhance your chances at all the schools you are applying to.

How important is it to focus on the Integrated Reasoning section since it does not affect the score?
ISB does not take Integrated reasoning into consideration.

Have the following profile:
10th: CGPA 10
12th: 92%
btech: 7.6 CGPA, NIT Jaipur

Currently working in a strategic consultancy firm, with 2 years of work experience ( as of May 2023).

Good PORs in college - Cultural Fest head, led a team of 6 for TEDx.

Do you think my low work exp will be a hinderance to converting ISB this year?
This year? You will be applying for 2024 admissions, and you would have 3 years of experience by then.

You have a rather average undergrad score. So, see if you can aim for a 720+ on GMAT Kessler1703.

720+ would be a decent bet DishaJindgar.

Of course, a well-crafted application is an added presumption.

All the best Disha.

Hey, hope all is well. A career gap and low academics previously are a red flag but definitely not a deal breaker as far as ISB is concerned. And since you have 9 years of work experience now, majority of the interview conversation and application evaluation will be centered around the impact you created at work/initiatives led. Bring that out in your essays (especially the 1st essay which is on how will you contribute to the cohort basis your own unique experiences). A good GMAT (710 or higher) will help in gauging your academic rigour so aim for that as well.

Hello ReeteshJ

The scores could be potentially compensated with a high GMAT score- what are you expecting? It will also depend on the university you graduated from.

Regarding the career break, how long ago was that? If it is old and you've already overcome it by showing progress in your career, the break shouldn't really impact your chances negatively.

At the same time, we are looking at limited information and just 2 data points in isolation, a lot of other details are needed around your expected GMAT, career progression and achievements, extracurricular activities and career goals post MBA.
Looking at all of these will give a better assessment of your strengths and weaknesses.

You may want to read here on what factors work in a profile and here to add to your research on career goals.

Hi JMJK

Very difficult to holistically evaluate your profile with the limited information you have shared here. You should sign up for a one to one profile evaluation with a Senior advisor/mentor with us.

Wishing you all the best.

Hi ReeteshJ

Try to get a 700+ GMAT to compensate for these factors. You have 9+ years of banking PSU experience and you should leverage that rich background for your applications and to differentiate yourself. If the 3-year gap happened before this entire experience, it is too dated and will not be an issue. Also go through this article to understand how you can leverage the unique aspects of your profile more.

Be positive and try and get a good GMAT and then build a good app. If you do that, your prior academics will not be a hindrance.

You have enough time but try to use the next 1-2 months better to get a good score to target R1 admissions.

I am planning for ISB 2024. I will be having work exp of 7 years by june 2024. 10th - 92%, btech in Eee from NIT with 9.28 CGPA. I am working in product based MNCs. Could someone please tell me what does ISB look at some one with 6 to 7 years of exp. And what can be the extra curricular activities required.

Your CGPA is solid, and your work experience (broadly) seems good, though more details would help us evaluate better. 6 to 7 years of experience is absolutely fine for ISB. On the extra-curricular activities required, go through this article to get a better idea.

Your next step should be to focus on a strong GMAT/GRE score.

Hope this helps.

Hello everybody, I’m struggling in CR section.
Preparing for GMAT from last 7 months. I got pdf of powerscore CR bible 2017 edition from internet. I decided to solve it rather than buying original one. Could any generous person plz help me. Is it right decision which I am taking?
Pdf link:-

The Powerscore CR Bible is good resources and is used by many test-takers to improve their CR performance. You are on the right track in using it.

However, you should always buy the original copy, and not depend on online PDFs.
