655+ would be my suggestion 5H4D0W. Which college did you graduate from?

Ashish.
It university of petroleum and energy studies Dehradun

Would a score of 655+ suffice in R2 to confirm a seat at ISB?
GMAT score alone cannot confirm a seat 5H4D0W. With 655+, you obviously need to create a compelling application as well.

Hi everyone, how tough is it to get into ISB if I am from a fashion background and not a business background?

Hi all
Did anyone checked for prospective interview dates for their respective locations via raising query option on the application portal? Is that advisable to ask the school directly via raising a query?

Hi @ muskanng,

Coming from a non traditional background has its own merits and demerits.

While the obvious merit is you wont be competing with the high volume of engineering applicants who will be applying with Software Development / Data Analytics / any other IT function, the ad com will definitely have some doubts regarding your quantitative and logical reasoning skills. You can address the same in your application by demonstrating quantitative impact of your work on end users.

It should also be implicit from your application how other students in the PGP cohort will gain from your experience in terms of Peer to Peer Learning. The moment ad com believes that you will add value to the overall learning of your classmates, they will perceive you as a great fit to the program.

There were a few classmates of mine at ISB (PGP CO15) who came from NIFT / NID etc. backgrounds and personally I had a lot to learn just by hearing their professional stories. So I am sure ad com will see similar potential in you provided you are able to bring across your stories in a compelling manner.

Last but not the least, I am assuming you have / aiming to get a decent enough GMAT / GRE score.

Please feel free to set up time with me at : https://calendly.com/crackadmission/profileevaluation in case you seek professional guidance.

Wishing you all the very best.

Cheers

Numerous applicants to ISB, who are from the IT/computer-software backgrounds, would be looking at you with a lot of envy muskanng, since you have something that they do not: diversity! This is a trait that ISB (or any other school for that matter) values.

Having said that, this trait alone cannot land you in ISB. Please work on your GRE/GMAT, to see that you get at least a 90th percentile.

Hey guys, looking for a profile evaluation.

Reapplicant. Applied through EEO last time in R2. Got rejected post interview.

GMAT Classic Score: 760
12th: 84%
10th: 93%

Pursued Computer Engineering from DTU- 2022 graduate.

Have been working as a Technological Risk Consultant at PwC India for 2+ years (32 months at the time of ISB joining as mentioned in the ISB application.

Ps: I've recently received an offer from BCG, but I haven't mentioned that in my application, and not sure if I should bring it up in my interview (hopeful)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Got rejected post interview.
What went wrong? Did you ask for feedback? If no, please do so and incorporate that in the reapplicant essay.

That would depend upon the profile that you have been offered at BCG and what you are mentioning as your career goals arragascar.

Hi Ashish, I didn't ask for feedback last time because I wasn't aware that it was an option.

My best guess is that my lack of was work experience could've been a major issue.

I have applied to R1 this time, and tried to highlight leadership roles at work in my reapplicant essay.

As for the BCG role, that aligns with my future goals as mentioned in my essays. My concern with mentioning BCG in the interview is that I hope they don't think that if I'm joining the company this late, I might be try to get my admission deferred, and thus have an asterisk put against my candidature.
At the same time, BCG carries a lot of brand value and might help with my candidature.

What do you guys think?

It is very unlikely that "lack of work experience" was an issue in EEO. In fact it might be an issue now that you are applying to PGP.

In any case, you might want to drop a mail to ISB to seek feedback.

It is a standard mail that states exactly what it needs to? Why is there such a hue and cry about such a standard email?
