Hi, requesting a profile evaluation:
Name: Manyaa Garg
Age: 25
10th ICSE: 94.4%
12th CBSE: Commerce: 91.5%
Bachelors in Economic Honours from Ashoka University: 3.13/4 CGPA
Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Studies & Research: Ashoka University: 3.87/4 CGPA, also Dean’s List and Magna Cum Laude
Worked for 2 years at Pharmeasy’s acquired largest B2B supply chain in the country, healthtech space
Role 1: Management Trainee
Role 2: Assistant Manager- Operations: COO’s Office
Shifted to Family business and currently the Strategy and Growth Lead at a 200 bedded multi-speciality hospital in a Tier 3 city. Plan on giving CFA. Also currently a fellow in The VC Fellowship which is no. 1 in South Asia.
Former National Badminton Player with highest rank 17 in the country.

Request to know about the score I can target for top Asia and Europe schools. Also, any recommendations for consultants on the same.
You have a lot of different components going for you individually -> Grad in Eco, PGD in ASR, Ops at Pharmeasy, Growth role at Family owned hospital, Former National Badminton Player. The most important thing you should focus on is creating a coherent narrative out of these components. Not sure where CFA fits into that journey. Also, since you haven’t mentioned your post MBA goals, unable to comment on that aspect. Given 3 yrs of total work-ex, my recommendation would be to target 685+ in GMAT. Wish you the best!

Hi everyone, requesting profile evaluation + some guidance on the choice of programs.
I am general engg. male
10th - 10 cgpa cbse ~ 95%
12th - 97.6%
btech cs from tier 1 college in india - 8.78 cgpa
yoe: 2 yoe (presently), 3 years by June 2026 in a fintech mnc as engg.
GRE: 170Q 157V

academics achievements:
1. 99.9%ile in JEE
2. Merit based scholarship in btech (top 5%)

extra curriculars/pro bono:
1. actively building own initiative in creating awareness about tech industry for female youth of india (1 years)
2. volunteer for mental health organisation in college, created awareness among 1.5k+ students pre and post covid during college fest

some leadership experience in my present role (mentoring interns in case challenge)

i have questions regarding :
1. overall profile, what can i do in short time (R2 deadlines) to improve my profile ?
2. I am aiming for ISB PGP 26 intake and a bit skeptical since the class average is about 4-5 yoe and I have a bit south of that
3. Is MiM in european colleges, and MeM in US colleges a good decision (backup plan) as compared to indian MBAs (ISB and IIMs) ?
Other than improving your GRE score to 328+, I doubt that you can do anything specific to significantly improve your profile in a few months. Given you would be towards the lower spectrum of work-ex tenure with Male, B.Tech background, please leverage your Pro-Bono initiatives and leadership experiences to the fullest in your application. MiM in EU/US vs MBA in India is a loaded & subjective question - The answer really depends on what you are looking to achieve out of these programs in the long term. We can discuss more about it at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in). Feel free to book a consultation with us.

Profile evaluation request

Hi All
This is Rakshatha. It would be really helpful if you could evaluate my profile and provide feedback on my strong and weak points

Female
Graduated from SJCC Bangalore in Bcom analytics
CGPA - 8
12th - 90%
10th - 93%
Yoe - 2.9 years in Goldman Sachs operations
Attempted CFA L1 but didn’t go through

Goldman
Experience in FX derivatives, loans syndication ops and loans trading ops.
Streamlined and helped build ops process optimal for massive volume increase and drastic evolution in private credit business along with training people
Worked with BI experts to uplift processes
Part of loans people pillar which is a committee for people integration and events
Experience in fx derivatives market

Grad
Exposure to python, R programming, tableau, SQL and SAS.
Member or finance club and research club.
Hosted national intercollegiate business fest.
Participated in multiple B- fest
Additional courses completed below-
CFA - investment foundations
Google data analytics professional certification
AWS machine learning
Google data studio

Questions-

1. I want to pivot into consulting or work with a VC or PE hence MBA and require feedback on my overall profile
2. Quit GS to focus on GMAT, will that be a hinderance?
3. How do i make my profile better for ISB (R1 or R2)
4. I plan on applying to a few European colleges as well, what should I focus on improving.
Academics is decent. Non-Engg background along with Goldman Sachs branding would help. While you have a decent exposure to derivatives & analytics, I am not sure that is enough to connect it with PE/VC goals, especially at ISB where these roles are fairly limited with a lot of strong candidates available. You should figure out a compelling story to pivot into consulting. Quitting your job just for GMAT prep might not be the best reasoning since most other candidates in your work-ex bracket would be handling both of them in parallel. Ensure that your GMAT score is significantly high to justify quitting your job for prep. On top of that, try adding some extracurriculars to your profile to come across as a well rounded candidate. For European schools, the application strategy would depend on the particular school and program you are applying to. Difficult to give generic advice on that one with the information shared. Wishing you the best!

Hi
Requesting a profile evaluation
Chartered accountant, commerce graduate
10th - 94%
12th - 93%
BCom - 9.17 CGPA
CFA - Level 1
GMAT FE - 675
Weak on extracurriculars, except for a mentoring role since the last two years
4 years of work experience working as a research analyst at a proxy advisory firm (corporate governance for listed companies in India) advising institutional investors on governance issues (management compensation, board of directors, mergers, etc.).
You have a stellar profile for ISB. If your journey comes out clearly in the application, you have a pretty good chance of getting an interview call. Wishing you the very best!

Hi
Requesting a profile evaluation
Computer Engineer
10th - 81%
12th - 64%
Engg - 6.21 CGPA
GMAT FE - 705
Business Management Certification - IIM Kozhikode

Experience - Accenture
5 years of work experience working as a Data Engineer out of which I have been leading a team of 7 for last 2 years (Data Engineering, Management and governance). Worked with Retail, Chemical and Banking clients. Received ACE award from Accenture.

Free Lance - Set up a IT department for one of the Small scale Industry and still take up their issues whenever necessary.

I have been working with an NGO for the past 12 yrs towards development and education towards remote villages. Spreading awareness about Astronomy and conducting events for the same.

2 National level Gold and 1 Silver Medal in Karate during and after Engineering

Tech stack - Python, SQL, (Azure, AWS, GCP) clouds, Pyspark, Databricks, AWS EMR, ETL Specialist

Certifications -
Professional Business Management Certification - IIM Kozhikode
Databricks Data Engineer Associate
Google Cloud Engineer
Microsoft Azure AZ-900, DP-900
Although your 12th and Engg scores were on the lower side, the GMAT score more than makes up for it. Your work-ex and extracurriculars are also pretty good. Given your role as a Data Engineer is very technical, I am interested in understanding your post MBA goals and how that links to your experiences gained so far. If that reasoning comes out clearly in the application, you would have a great chance to get an interview call. You can reach out to us at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) if you wish to brainstorm on the story around your goals

Hi I need a profle evaluation:
I am a software engineer working at Citi Group Pune (on-campus intern, then PPO for FTE, Fulltime since 15th July 2024). I have completed my B.Tech in 2024 from Delhi Technological University in ECE with a CGPA of 8.33/10. Recently gave GMAT FE: 695 (Q88 V82 D84)
10th CBSE Boards’ percentage: 98%
12th CBSE Boards’ percentage: 96.4%
I was In the Powerlifting team of my college. and won a few medals as well. I was the class representative in my 3rd year of college.
I have played district-level cricket in school. I have been academically inclined since childhood , and have been in the top 3 ever since I was a kid.
I have done_an internship at the PETRONAS Group (Amplys Solar) for 3 months as a Data Analyst during 2nd Year of college.
Waiting for 2 years of work experience completion on 15th July 2026, to apply for ISB in their 2027 PGP program. I need to work on my application and essay till then. I need some suggestions.
You should consider applying to the PGP YL program

Hi, requesting a profile evaluation

10th (2015) - 88.20%
12th (2017) - 77.08%
B.E (Computer Engineering 2017-2021) - 9.09 CGPA (top 10% of the class)

*Work-ex:*
Soon I will be joining a NBFC as a Product Manager.

Previously, Associate Engineer at Deutsche Bank (July 2021 - July 2025):
- 2 promotions in a span of 3 years
- Led a team of 7 engineers to design & implement DB’s in-house regulatory reporting product.
- Won multiple awards and accolades for the project I worked on as well as for leading a global committee’s "India Chapter" that gives junior employees within the bank an opportunity to learn and network

Co-founder and Head of Product at Projectivity (Sept 2023 - Feb 2025 [In parallel to Deutsche Bank]):
- Spearheaded the ideation, prototyping, MVP development and launch of a B2B SAAS platform that helps streamline backend operations of the Entertainment and Media Industry targeting a $2.5Bn market
- Onboarded initial set of early adopters/users. Eventually, had to shut down due to scalability issues

Extra Curriculars:
- I create podcasts with CXOs discussing their journey.
- Blogs/Posts on Tech, finance, etc

Had scored a 635 in GMAT FE, applied last year in R-2, and received an interview invite too.

Got feedback from ISB that the interviewer’s comments were positive and they gave a go-ahead. In the end, I fell short on the final profile’s quantitative score.

GMAT has been a real bottleneck for me, should I target R1 with my existing score or should I keep trying for a score improvement and aim for R2?
Given you already have the school’s feedback, you should definitely attempt to bump up the GMAT score to 675+ and then apply in R2.

Hi, I have a very low undergrad gpa of 2.2/4. It is from a tier one college in India, and I have 4 years of work experience in consulting in a big 4. I haven’t given my GMAT yet. How much should I be aiming for? And how much will this gpa hold me back? My 10th and 12th marks are both around 85%
Try to offset your lower grad GPA with a higher GMAT score (675+). And then focus on crafting a strong application. Those are the aspects that you can control. All the best!

Hi, I need a profile evaluation. I am a business analyst with 8+ years of experience. Worked with Pharma consulting firms like ZS and a couple of Pharma companies like Novartis. My 10th/12th is from CBSE with 93% and 90%. B.tech in IT from private college with 86%. Should I target ISB other colleges given a higher work exp. Also what will be a decent GMAT score that I should aim for?
Decent academics. Pharma consulting with the likes of ZS and major pharmaceutical companies is also a strong point. 8 years of work-ex is actually a good spot and shouldn’t deter you from applying to ISB. You should definitely apply to other Tier 1 schools as well to hedge your bets. Your post MBA goals and extracurriculars aren’t mentioned. But you should still target a score of 665+. Happy to discuss more at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in)

Hi, requesting profile evaluation.
B.Com (Hons) from Delhi University – 2018–21.
10th – 10 CGPA
12th – 94%
Graduation – 7.8 CGPA.
Placed with EY GDS through campus placement in the Audit department and worked there for 3 months, then switched to Management Consulting in PwC India and worked there for 2.5 years. Left it in Aug 2024 and currently working in a startup co-founded by my ex-colleague, and I am directly involved in the day-to-day operations.
With regard to extracurriculars: won a national award by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs back in school.
Co-founded Zomato Feeding India in my city during the COVID year.
Played at the national level in Volleyball during school days.
I am particularly targeting ISB this year since things are very uncertain in the US. Let me know the targeted score.

Post MBA goal : My post-MBA goal is to work with a core consulting or strategy firm. As a non-MBA graduate, I often faced limitations in accessing certain high-impact projects due to qualification constraints, which also restricted my career growth. I believe an MBA will equip me with the skills, credibility, and network needed to overcome these barriers and accelerate my trajectory in the consulting domain.
Decent academics. Consulting experience with PwC could be valuable. You have some good pointers for extracurriculars as well. I am bit unclear about the exact nature of your role at the startup. Also, it would be important for you to link your experience at PwC and start-up to the goal of pursuing consulting post MBA. Target a score of 675+ to bolster your chances. All the best!

XII: 97.25%
X: 97%

Thoughts?
Stellar profile. Please have a well articulated application and you’ll be very likely to get an interview invite. All the best!

Thanks
You’re already working on the interview feedback related to the interview and trying to improve your GRE score which was below the cohort average. That should be good enough to improve your chances this year. All the best!

I am a May 2023 qualified Chartered Accountant in my first attempt. Post qualification I joined audit department. I have 2 years of post qualification experience.
I have also done my graduation from University of Delhi in 2020 with a 8.07 CGPA.
I scored 95.5% in 12th standard and a 10 CGPA in 10th standard.
How much GMAT FE score should be a good score to get an interview invite?
Target 675+ since applicants with 2-3 yrs of work-ex tend to score higher. CA qualification helps but you would need to add more dimensions to your profile in order to make it stand out. All the best!

I am a 2020 engineering passout from a tier 2 engineering MU college. I have had poor academics. 10th - 72%, 12th- 56%, Engineering- 6.6 CGPA (This was a phase where there were family related issues at my end. Not an excuse for the bad performance).I have 4 and a half years of experience in IT. 3 years with NSEIT, where I joined as a trainee and later was a team lead managing and automating production set-up for National Stock Exchange. Currently I am working with UK based monitoring solutions company ITRS as a managed services consultant and managing a client in India solely. I hold certifications of AWS solutions architect. Extracurricular activities included me being secretary for the E-cell of college. During school days, I was part of the handball team. Can someone please confirm if I can have a shot at ISB with a strong gmat score, and if I do, what would that score look like ?
While academics are on the lower side, the nature of work-ex also isn’t very differentiated. Apart from a high GMAT score (705+), you should also attempt to bring out more details about your journey and impact created at firms. Also, since your post MBA goals isn’t mentioned, not able to do an objective profile assessment.

Hey Everyone! Requesting a profile evaluation for ISB.

10th- 9cgpa
12-~ 82%
BTech from VIT - 8.32 CGPA

workex - 5 years as of today

Company 1- early stage logistics start-up (campus placement)
12 months- 6 months as an intern + 6 as an fte
-won an award

Company 2- the biggest name in pharma consulting- 2yrs 11 months
- won an award here also

Company 3- the other food deliver company in India -11 mos in a customer experience and strategy role

had issues with the role and scope of work
-won an award here also.

Company 4 (present company) - listed mid cap IT firm focusing on the pharma domain in an internal strategy

Could you please evaluate the profile quality and ideal gmat score to get in, as well as chances considering the higher work ex. Will multiple job switches prove to be a challenge to justify to the ad com?
Your academics are decent and the overall work-ex tenure also lies in the sweet spot. I don’t think the job switches by itself will cause any trouble. Just have a genuine reason for switching, especially for firms where the tenure was shorter. Would love to know your post MBA goals and any noteworthy extracurriculars for a better assessment of your profile. While there is no such thing as Ideal GMAT score, having a target of 675+ would be reasonable.

Hi YejasFathima, Good Profile, you have good acads and college is well known. You can highlight your journey in healthcare and your desire to do better and better in it given your biomedical background. Career breaks can be mentioned as a way to prepare yourselves for those roles (just a suggestion, for lack of more details). Product start up experience is always valuable. Extracurricular are decent. Aim for a 655+ score and you should be good.

As much as presenting your past, you would also need to give equal weightage to your planned future - why MBA, why now, what post-MBA - are questions that can make or break your candidacy. This stage, of course, comes into play once your scores have done their job to get you into the consideration set. - - Dee (MBA admissions consultant and management consultant;

Could you please evaluate the profile quality and ideal gmat score to get in, as well as chances considering the higher work ex. Will multiple job switches prove to be a challenge to justify to the ad com?
Please target 675+ WA@stx2267.

Don't worry about multiple job switches at this stage. This may come up during interview and so, be ready then to explain the switches.
