GMAT FE: 705
Work Ex: 3 years in ZS Associates, on GenAI projects for multiple pharma companies like AZ etc. Led multiple teams and participated in hiring for ZS. Won the Project Champion Award this year.

Reasonably decent profile @saddiedas; just that there is a lot of competition within ZS, for ISB:).

Make sure that your goals are not far removed from your career experiences at ZS.

Good luck!

Placed with EY GDS through campus placement in the Audit department and worked there for 3 months, then switched to Management Consulting in PwC India and worked there for 2.5 years. Left it in Aug 2024 and currently working in a startup co-founded by my ex-colleague, and I am directly involved in the day-to-day operations.
With regard to extracurriculars: won a national award by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs back in school.
Co-founded Zomato Feeding India in my city during the COVID year.
Played at the national level in Volleyball during school days.
I am particularly targeting ISB this year since things are very uncertain in the US. Let me know the targeted score.
From Audit to Consulting to Operations and now, a career goal to go back to Consulting!

Also, slightly surprising that you make no mention of GMAT (not even your target score). It is important you know MANSImahara221.

Can anyone guide me on how are LORs helpful and how can they be used? I work with C level executives of clients representing my company in the current role and was planning to arrange an LOR for the same.

What exactly is the process/significance?

Hi Sarthak20, you might find the following article useful: Letter of Recommendation (LoR) in ISB application.

Moiraks - there is no one magic score, but aiming for a 675-685+ GMAT would be ideal. Ofcourse, the higher the better.

I am a May 2023 qualified Chartered Accountant in my first attempt. Post qualification I joined Deloitte USI in their external audit department. I have 2 years of post qualification experience.
I have also done my graduation from University of Delhi in 2020 with a 8.07 CGPA.
I scored 95.5% in 12th standard and a 10 CGPA in 10th standard.
How much GMAT FE score should be a good score to get an interview invite?

I am a 2020 engineering passout from a tier 2 engineering MU college. I have had poor academics. 10th - 72%, 12th- 56%, Engineering- 6.6 CGPA (This was a phase where there were family related issues at my end. Not an excuse for the bad performance).I have 4 and a half years of experience in IT. 3 years with NSEIT, where I joined as a trainee and later was a team lead managing and automating production set-up for National Stock Exchange. Currently I am working with UK based monitoring solutions company ITRS as a managed services consultant and managing a client in India solely. I hold certifications of AWS solutions architect. Extracurricular activities included me being secretary for the E-cell of college. During school days, I was part of the handball team. Can someone please confirm if I can have a shot at ISB with a strong gmat score, and if I do, what would that score look like ?

The GFE score alone doesn’t earn someone the interview opportunity. All other elements of your candidacy should also stack up together - be it your experience, achievements, understanding about ISB, post-MBA career, and LoRs. As a general reference, an audit background isn’t a strength to one’s profile. - Dee (MBA admissions consultant and management consultant; [email protected])

Can you please help me with FE target score
Indian general Male
10th - CBSE - 9.8 CGPA
12th - CBSE - 95.2%
CA - 1st attempt
DU College dropped
Experience - as of Sep 25
Domestic and international Tax

1. Tier -1 law firm (articleship -3 year, post qualification -5 months)

2. EY - 2 years 3 months

3. Listed cement manufacturing company -
2 years
Your work-ex tenure lies close to the cohort median. Good scores and CA qualification definitely helps. Having some extracurriculars would help you differentiate your profile from other CA applicants with similar professional profile. Target 675+ to stay competitive in the relevant applicant pool. Feel free to give us a buzz at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a more detailed discussion

Profile evaluation and GMAT FE target

Hi everyone, sending again because I was unclear on the response given earlier.

Indian general female

Class 10- 94%
Class 12- 96%

UG- 7.07 CGPA / Tier 1 ( B.Com)

CA
CFA level 1

Work ex- 3 years currently (at kotak alternate asset managers)

Wanted help on these questions as well:

1. What may be my target GMAT score
2. Which round should I ideally apply in?
3. how will taking a break from work impact my application
You should target 675+ for a female CA with 3+ yrs of experience. If you need time to prepare for GMAT or get the desired target score, you can push the applications to R2. Otherwise, if there are no dependencies, go for R1. While taking a break by itself shouldn’t be a problem, what matters is the reason (its genuineness) for the break, duration of the break etc. Feel free to connect with us at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) to discuss any specific aspects of your profile in greater detail.
