Hi all,
I would love to get your thoughts on my profile for ISB PGP:
X (SSC): 95.17%
PUC (Intermediate): 9.91 CGPA
B.Tech (ECE): 9.35 CGPA (from RGUKT IIIT Nuzvid)
GATE 2014: AIR 57, Score: 915
Post-GATE: Joined M.Tech in Microelectronics & VLSI at IIT Bombay but exited after one year due to personal reasons (received PGD IIT certification).
Work Experience: Joined Airports Authority of India (AAI, a central PSU) in 2016 as Junior Executive (Electronics) through GATE score. Currently serving as Manager (Electronics), with around 8.5 years of experience in the aviation sector (across Chennai, Port Blair, and Visakhapatnam airports).
Please also let me know the GMAT score that I should be aiming for.
Great academics, 8.5 years of PSU experience is valuable from school’s perspective. Would want to understand your post-MBA goals and extracurriculars for a well rounded profile assessment. Given ~9 yrs of tenure, speaking generally, you should target 655+ in GMAT. Obviously higher the better. All the best for GMAT. Feel free to reach out to us at Preppie (

I am aiming for the Indian School of Business for the PGP program. Any suggestions as to how I can enhance my profile?
Graduation score is on the lower side, however GMAT score is good. B.Com could add diversity to the profile. However, we’ll need to know the UG college, firm you work at and post-MBA goals to better evaluate your profile. Usually core operations experience is valuable, however it also depends on your exact role in the broader initiatives. Most of your extracurriculars seem to be from undergrad which is okay but not a differentiator, anything more recent would definitely help. Wishing you the very best for your applications.
