the application portal states no GPA, test scores, grades, etc. shall be mentioned anywhere in the resume
So should I also skip the fact that I received a certificate of merit from CBSE for one of the subjects?

I am not really sure what certificate of merit is - is it that you were the board topper? or in top x%ile? If latter, maybe put it in the awards section of the application and not necessarily in the resume. If you were the board topper, you can probably mention it under the "achievements" section of your resume.

In my case, I scored 100% in Maths and was in the top 0.1%ile. Where does this fit?

I have a view - we can’t put everything in the essays give the word limit, so shall we utilise the Awards/Activities’ Description section and Job Responsibilities section to add value to the application? My doubt tho is - will that description be as effective as the essay?

If essays are good then write extra in description

If essays are not good enough then perfect them by bringing aspects that aid your argument

A GMAT FE score of 675 is showing 91st percentile after sending it to ISB PGP, is this percentile similar to the last year’s stats?

If I was in your shoes I would probably put it in awards section in the application. Use the real estate in essays & the resume for something stronger. While top 0.1%ile is an excellent achievement, that still means there are at least 1500 other folks with the same score. If you do have space left after writing about other achievements, put it in the resume. This is my opinion - at the end of the day the application as a whole is very personal & unique to each applicant. It depends on how you position it.

WA@keb3175, In the application portal when you are filling in your UG / PG details, they ask for class rank (not a mandatory field). If you essays & resume are already full / you have enough anecdotes to talk about, would suggest putting the rank there instead of using real estate in your essays. The word limit is just 400-400-250. Every word has to count.

Hi, do you need to submit ITR for the ISB application? Or is the payslip enough?

Since you mentioned payslip, assuming you’re a salaried employee. Payslip from any of last 3 months is enough.

Hi,

I have given the test once I can surely tell you that a 11/20 and 13/20 both can lead you to a D80(83rd percentile) in actual exam. I guess you can consider a 2 point deviation in ether side with 11/20 correct.
WA@wbt2764
Hi everyone, i understand this is not the forum to discuss the following but would appreciate any guidance:

I gave an official GMAT FE mock test (paid) on GMAT club and scored 685 (DI score 83- 95th percentile)
But when I reviewed the test I realise I got only 11/20 correct in the DI section which did not seem an accurate reflector of the DI score and percentile I received.

Could anyone help me out figure out whether this is inflated due to some reason?
Or could the score/ percentile may be because the pool of questions only included Medium + Hard

Would appreciate any guidance on this as I’m having trouble figuring out where I actually stand currently (I have exhausted my official mocks already some time back)

Hi,

For Verbal and DI the free actually tells you a good starting ability. Quant is on easier side whereas the sectionals and other 4 mocks prepare you more for the actual exam. But, it is always recommended to give 2-3 cold mocks to accurately judge your starting ability.

Hi everyone, I’ve tried the egmat sigmax free mock- wanted to check if anyone’s used it and if it seemed like a decent predictor of where we stand?
