For? GRE? Or in general?
For GMAT
Please note that GMAT does not test you on vocabulary.

So, building vocabulary grounds-up for GMAT, is generally not the best use of time and effort required for GMAT preparation.

If I do well in one section of GMAT, would the next section directly start with higher difficulty questions or does the difficulty algorithm reset per section?
It'll start with higher difficulty

Well, technically it does start with a "slightly" more difficulty level than the median, but honestly, this should not bother you, since ultimately, the algorithm does take care that your final score in each section is reflective of your ability level in that section.

How much time does it take to complete college applications (SOP, LOR, etc.) apart from GMAT? I was planning my GMAT in August end but then I realized that most colleges have their R1 usually in the first week of September. Do you think I can apply in R1?
In a similar predicament, was considering to sit for the test first week of August, but not sure if that will leave me enough time to complete applications for some of the European schools who have their R1 deadlines much earlier than ISB’s. ISB should be doable

Quote:
Recommendations are mostly small questionnaires given as a form to your recommender on the ISB website so you dont have to spend time there
Is this specifically the case for ISB?

According to somebody from GMAC, it’s not supposed to
