Maybe this helps -
I reached out to all the hotshot consultants with my profile, GMAT FE 645, low undergrad GPA and it was the same song, increase test score by 30 points.
I’ve got a great profile in work ex and extra curriculars and I was ready to throw money once I found the right fit.
Nobody came close to the expectations! Some even asked me to reach out for profile evaluations only post score improvement.
Then a friend recommended Admit Scholar and I took a courtesy call with them, and it worked out.
Whoever you sign with, please due your own due diligence. Speak to the same person you’re going to be working with. I explicitly asked every consultant to only connect if they had slots to accommodate me. You have to trust their credentials and that they will help tell your story right. A little bit of emotional support helps too!
It’s a long journey and when disagreements happen, you need to be able to trust you made the right decision.
Having been through the process now, I can say this - Most important will be that they understand the school, your story, your strengths, weaknesses, and that they call you out on your BS whenever needed.
I was never comfortable with consultants who put a limit on number of reviews or duration of calls so clarify that too beforehand.
Hope this helps!
PS: I got interview calls from ISB and T15 US schools too.
