Yes I got dinged by Ross & now kelley, waitlisted at UNC-KF, and waiting for Emory decision which I am sure will be a ding as well, it was a bad decision to apply in emory's Round 3. But, I have a full tuition scholarship from BU and BC-Carroll :)

How's your season going?

It is said that BC has a better finance program and is well-disputed in Boston. However, BU has a stronger overall brand.

I'll have to say this one has really hurt me, I was just too sure of an admit, heck! I was wondering how much $$$ I will manage to pull :/. A current Indian student was spot on when he said Kelly + R2 + Indian is tough nut to crack!

Exactly the same thoughts !! Anyway, Kelley gone.

I spoke to some other Indian applicants as well, I think today is "Kelley Application status update" day. If you have survived the storm, I think you can start smiling, admits are on the way. All the best to all the international applicants who have not got the dreaded mail today.

I think for Kelley and Indian applicant, the ideal round is R1. I spoke to a friend who has got a admit and I guess he might be in the whatsapp group (I guess created by @rrai243). he said almost everybody has a got a good deal from Kelley in R1 and will be joining. So, R2 is not a good round at all for Kelley.

It's a surprise that you can't get in, given your excellent stats. It seems Kelley pays even greater attention to LOR, essays and interviews.

I thought my profile was quite good for Kelley - i have 3 years of R&D and 3 yrs. of Project management experience in a very niche Defence & Aero. Industry, 740 in Gmat, ~3.6 gpa from a good Engg. school in India, 3 year part time work experience of managing our family business, a decent social work experience. Moreover, I did every single damn thing to research on Kelley & reflected that in my essays, and ended the process with a great PI, i suppose the only thing not going my way was a tag of being an (Indian+Engg.) candidiate... This feeling really sucks man!! :(

Looks like i am heading to Boston now! :/

kinjiGC You still have a good chance for Tepper and Ross. Let's hope. Otherwise R1 is always an option.

Frankly I expected an interview invite atleast. I got the calls from all the west coast schools I applied to, including Anderson which is overall a better school than Kelley. Is the ding mail the final communication from the schools or do they point out any specific problem on which one can work as a re-applicant?

I think later the school could give us a chance to get feedback on our strong and weak point(s), maybe after the end of this enrollment season.

How's your luck with UCLA Anderson? Good luck to your other target schools! Have you got anywhere to go this fall?

I was expecting the same as well since I have also received interview calls from other schools. But this late in the game, I guess a ding without an interview is better than a ding after interview. At least, it sets expectations accordingly and helps you plan for other schools. Also, knowing that so many great candidates have also been dinged without interview does not make me feel so bad about it after all!

May be it is a little early, just wanted to clarify that this year, there is no re-applicant essay. Most probably for next year intake, there will be no re-applicant essay right?

Any re-applicant to Kelley can answer this.

wll64 yeah I also expect some form of feedback otherwise how could one justify the hefty application fee charged by schools :wink: Anderson was just OK. Not sure. Fingers crossed. I'm yet to be interviewed for USC Marshall and UNC KF, so no admits yet :|

MBAGirl17: yeah I'm also not feeling bad. It's a reality check. I expected interview invites from ISB and Kelley and after they did not send me one I lost hope for Anderson also. But then Anderson invited for interview. Anyways, if I could not convert any calls then atleast I know where I lag and can therefore improve on those areas for next year R1. Good luck.
