DING - 2nd for my season.

Saw the status update email without a phone call, so knew it was a ding even before I opened my email.

I was thinking of Chicago/Ross for my R2, but seems like I have to re-evaluate my chances.

All the very best to people who are waiting!

Tough luck dude! Just weather the time out and plan ahead.

Yes, I think no news is good news as far as emails are concerned from schools that are giving out final decisions...

grad_mba - sorry to hear about the ding.

Our academic/career profiles are very similar except that I have 7 yrs experience. While I interviewed on Nov 19th, I am pretty sure about the ding now.. I hope to hear from them in the next week or so. I will at least be motivated to get cracking on R2 apps.

Sorry to hear...now I've one from checking my e-mail every 10 seconds to being afraid to check my e-mail.

Exactly my trail of thoughts! This is such a terrifying process...

I am all for 1 day decision release. At least it saves this paranoia!

grad_mba,

Very few of us will get in every school we applied to. This is just a bump on the road :-)

I'm not

I suggest dont open your email until the end of the day. The worst would be if they sent out a mass email today. They call with acceptance and generally that is going to be after 5eastern. Oh and the number comes up unknown for everyone I have talked to so make sure you answer that instead of thinking its a telemarketer.

Well, I still have not heard about my decision but no matter what happens, I seriously believe that everything happens for a reason. One should try hard to accomplish something but if does not happen, it does not happen.

I am applying for the second time to Kellogg, if I do not get admit, well life will go on. Will I be sad? Of course for a very short while (it took me couple days last time to be normal).

It is never easy to be rejected but in my opinion, this is like a job interview. They say at the end, there is no close match between two parties. Well, hopefully that is both good for the company (or the university) and the prospect employee (or student)

At the end, we can only hope that the best happens and that's it. Not everything is in our hands.

I hope the best happens for all of us in the life, whatever that is.

Sorry to hear about that.....hell...Kellogg wasn't good enough for you !
IMHO beyond a point, it really doesn't matter where u r in the top 20. It all boils down to how we use the MBA experience in whichever school we study in to meet our goals.

Good luck with the rest of the apps.
